Bill Lionheart aka William Ortis did a brilliant tute on exactly what you need (FS9 Gmax models compiled to FSX), available on his webpage - link provided :

For more info this thread on Felix's Freeflight Design Shop page:

Good Luck !:woot:
Hey Stefano,
I really need to update that tutorial. It has a ton of details and some sample materials, but there is much room for improvement on it.
If you have any questions on it, you could ask in this thread and I and others will try to help out as much as possible.
FreeFlightDesign.com and FSdeveloper.com are 2 great website forums to get help from also by way of Gmax and FSX.

Yes, that tutorial really helped me a lot. I didn't have to go through the sdk docs to start making FsX aircraft, so it saved me quite some time.
Thank You Bill !!!
Darn that Jayhawk for Fs9 is FSDS. If it was Gmax I might use Bills tuts and bring her to FSX levels. Us poor poor Coasties are grounded in FSX Freeware wise Helos. Thankfully not Fixed wing wise and we can use the Canadian Bo-105 by Dirk. I just miss my Dolphin and Jayhawk.

Hi Bill,
Do you have an updated link to this tutorial? I would really like to get a copy so I can get more skilled with GMax in FSX.
Thanks!
Best regards,
Melo
This thread is pretty old. I believe most are using Model Converter X now to convert from FS9 to FSX.

Hi Willy,
Thanks. Where can I find Model Converter X?
I am just getting back into modelling in GMax so would love to see a list of required or must-have programs for aircraft creation/processing using GMax (for FS9 and FSX).
Best regards,
Melo
