    Some Xplane flying

It's been a few weeks since I last stopped in at the SOH, so I only just discovered that they put up an Xplane forum. I'm a fan of both MSFS and Xplane and have been using Xplane for a few years now. To show a little support for this new forum I thought I'd share a few pictures from one of my recent flights.

    (from Vancouver to Qualicum Beach)

    Hey Kevin,

Great screenshots. Nice Ford! Or is that a Fokker?

Amazing countrysides in XP9. Love the water reflections and ships and green scenery. Makes you want to become a Earth conservationalist, lol..

    Thanks for sharing the flight!

Yea...Nice shots..I didn't realise that XP had so much detail of cities and airport buildings....

    Thanks.

Bill, it's a Ford Tri-Motor. It's a free model too, by payware designer, Heinz Dziurowitz. Not quite as detailed as his payware models, but a great plane nonetheless. You can find it on his web page in the lower left under "Free Planes."

    Heinz's website;

Jim and Harleyman, the buildings are part of Tom "Howdy" Curtis' "Inside Passage" addon. Though payware, it's a wonderful addon that adds almost every airport and seaplane base along coastal British Columbia. It's a virtual bush pilot's paradise

    Nice pics Ted!

Nice little taildragger. May I ask what it is?

Thanks Kevin for the links. I'll check it out. That scenery looks brilliant.

Bill I wish I could remember if it was payware or freeware. I got it last year from the x-plane.org site. Google this and see what you get or do a search on the x-plane.org site:

Kbr, I just watched the B-17 "8 Ball" video.... nice. Seeing that you can drop bombs, is combat doable in X-Plane? Also saw smoke from a shotup a/c in the Spitfire section.

That Beech 17 Stagger Wing..... gorgeous, and free too.

    Me likey likey. :d

    Nice pictures, Ted.

Bill, no problem, glad to help.

GT182, I'm not sure as I haven't seen it done, but it seems like it should be possible to simulate combat in Xplane as there are a number of extra combat like options in the Plane-Maker menus.
