Lockheed Hudson N7288 320 squadron RAF

A new entry has been added to Add-Ons Library, category FS 2004 Military skins - World War II

Description: This package contains alternative textures for the Alphasim/Virtavia Lockheed Hudson. The textures show the Hudson N7288 NO-U from No 320 (Netherlands/Dutch) Squadron RAF. This repaint is based on a completely new paintkit and NOT on the Alphasim one.

No. 320 (Netherlands) Squadron RAF was a unit of the Royal Air Force during World War II formed from the personnel of the Royal Netherlands Naval Air Service, who managed to escape from the Netherlands after the German invasion. They originally flew the Fokker T.VIII aircraft they had managed to take with them. However due to losses and the lack of spare parts, the squadron was re-equipped with the Avro Anson in August, and in October 1940 with the Lockheed Hudson. Between August 1940 and April 1942 the squadron flew coastal and anti-submarine patrols from RAF Carew Cheriton. In March 1943 the squadron was reassigned to Bomber command and equipped with B-25 Mitchell bombers.

I wish to thank the guys from Alphasim/Virtavia for making this very nice model. And Martin Wright for his simple but indispensable graphic tools, as without his dtx1 bitmap manipulator these textures simply wouldn't be there.

    Enjoy,
    Huub

    Hello Huub,
Thank you for the N7288 Hudson textures. Very high quality, and I appreciate the
alternate bitmap for aircraft without the BP turret. Thanks again.
