Avro Anson N5331 from no. 6 OAFU Staverton

A new entry has been added to Add-Ons Library, category FS 2004 Military skins - World War II

Description: This package contains alternative textures for the FS9 Avro Anson by Dave Garwood. They show the Avro Anson Mk.I N5331 from No 6 Observer and Advanced Flying Unit, based at RAF Staverton. This unit was based at Staverton from 1 November 1939 until 17 January 1942. These textures are based on a profile by Montex and a single picture in No.53 from the Warpaint series Avro Anson, by Alan W. Hall.

I want to thank Dave Garwood for this beautiful model. And Martin Wright for his simple but indispensable graphic tools, as without his dtx1 bitmap manipulator these textures simply wouldn't be there.

    Enjoy,
    Huub

Thanks Dave. Your Anson is still a very nice ( and quite popular) model. The "updated" model with VC is from 2006! So nearly 18 years old and it is still the best Anson for FS9 .
I always loved the crew, which clearly was the inspiration for crews inside the payware FSX Ansons by A2A and FSAddon. And you can definitely see this as a huge compliment!

    Cheers,
    Huub

Dave, did you ever made a AI version of the Anson? I would love to see that one.

    Beautiful plane and paint!

    Send from mobile hence short
    Cheers,
    Martin

If he didn't, you could try Baldy's CFS2 model (several variations on this page), probably much easier on frame rates,
