MSFS will not boot all of a sudden.

I use Addon Linker, and have never had this happen. I choose the profile I want, and then the green arrow, and then Steam starts, closely followed by MSFS.

Only now nothing happens. I clicked the green arrow in Addon Linker. Steam starts, and then nada.

So I shut down Steam, restarted it and tried booting MSFS from my Steam Library. I hit the "Play" button, and within about 5 seconds or so, the "Play" button is green again. No go.

I am at a loss here. NC

UPDATE: I reverted back to a video driver from a couple days ago, and now it boots. I have not had this problem. Strange.

The first thing I do when I have MSFS issues is to rename the Community folder. MSFS will create a new empty one. If it works with a default aircraft, I then go through the process of determining which community item caused the no go. If it doesn't work, I use the repair function under Apps.

I my experience one of these two will fix it 99% of the time.

Because MSFS is on a server system, I suspect that is oftentimes the culprit. I haven't done anything different, yet all worked perfectly this morning. Puzzling. NC

You can also start up the sim, then "crash" it with the Task Manager. When you restart it, use the Safe Mode option, and not only will it ignore the Community folder, but it will disable Marketplace addons as well.
