    I do have my RAM in the BIOS set to the XMP profile, will turn that off if updates don't work.

    Alright, after reading post over at the main MSFS bug report forum until I was blue in the face, this seemed to work for me (there were pages of discussion on how to fix it.

    One person reported to go to your Apps and find the Xbox app icon, right click on it, go down to app settings and select repair.

    Just did a flight of 2 hrs duration in the default "Dodge" Caravan covering 300 + NM and no CTD.

    I can only assume that piling all of those Microsoft updates into Windows 11 must have busted something.

    We'll see how it goes over the next couple of days.

    I think you're (almost) there Don. Especially with Win11, keeping the rig up to date is crucial for MSFS.

    It was going so well, did another flight for about an hour in the Cirrus SR22 ===>>>> CTD ====>>>> now I'm flying in Safe Mode in the Caravan and pull up to the parking spot put on the brake =====>>>> CTD

    Turn off 'puter, restart MSFS in Safe Mode.... less than 5 NM after take-off in the Caravan ====>>>> CDT. Look at Event viewer. The first 3 logs are (2) minutes apart, I don't know why.

    XMP is off.

    Just completed 750+ NM flight in Cirrus SR22, 4 hrs. 58 minutes duration.

    NO CTD

    After reading all the trouble you've been having, Don, I was worried about what would happen with my new rig. The 1st flight, in the Savage Cub, from Brown Field KSDM in San Diego, Ca. to Mojave Regional KMHV, 160nm, 1:59:xx. My flight lasted 38+ min and then froze. Locked up. Needed ctrl+alt+Del to bring up task master to shut off MSFS. Then, I read about throttleing my internet. I noticed that my lockup occured right at the point where my scenery went from cached to needing renewed/downloaded. After checking my internet speed, fast, 800-900mbs, I set my modem to 100mbs as instructed, rebooted computer, took my memory off of the XMP, rebooted again, and went for a flight. Changed to the default Cessna 172 with Garmin1000, and flew the same flightplan. 2 hours, no problem. So, hopeing for the best.(Aren't we all?)

    Hi , if you running 4k with High settings in MSFS it´s no wonder it freezes now and then , try 1440p instead ~ Click image for larger version.

    That is an interesting chart, thanks for posting it.

    My monitor's maximum resolution is 1440 (2560x1440) so that is what I sim with.

    I had another 6+ hour, 1400+ NM flight in the Cirrus SR22 from UK2000's KARR, Auroa, Illinois and a layover in KANW, Ainsworth, Nebraska for fuel, then onto KJAC. Jackson Hole Wyoming.
