This AH 307 suffers from the same poor interior audio as their Trimotor.

Does it have the same option for modern instruments like the Ford does?

    Answered my own question...

Despite the sounds, I'll probably be getting this one this weekend.

The basic main cockpit panel looks like this, which is period to me.

But if you look above you see this.

But with a flick of the switch just above the transponder and to the left it changes to this.

Biggest problem I have found so far is in fuel management. By default the #1 and #2 engine pulle from the left inner and outer tanks. But the #3 and #4 pull from the right outer tank, and I had to switch the fuel lever so it was more distributed.

I know you will think me all a philistine, but I could not care less about the sound, I don't notice anything out of place.

I think I can more easily forgive muted sound in this Boeing than in the Trimotor. I've flown in a Ford, it sounds exactly like what it is, a corrugated tin shed with big engines bolted directly to it. I would assume the Stratoliner is better soundproofed.

So far download has taken nearly 2 hours!
Anyone aware of a paint kit, & artistes willing to spray the 307?

My download took forever also. My update for the sim took almost 24 hours, and I have 1GB cable connection!

I've had a substantial amount of luck connecting through a VPN, since for whatever reason, that basically doubles the download speed of MSFS updates or any in-sim downloads.

Has anyone been able to get NAV to work in the AP? (Located top left in the cockpit)
HDG works ok, but can't get NAV to lock on.

Yes, I generally switch the STD/GNS switch to bring up the GPS's. On the last flight on the GPS I had to push the Direct To button and then Enter buttons to get it to engage (the two buttons on the lower right of the GNS530).

    Ok
    I'll try that.

Has anyone seen any liveries for this yet, I have been hoping for a Pan Am but have not seen one yet, I expect AH will have one soon, and I try to be patient.

AH themselves should be doing a free livery pack like they did for their DC-3 on Orbx. Not uploaded yet, however. The product page for this on the Marketplace indicates there will be one. Not sure if PanAm will be in it.

That's good to hear. Since the only real world airlines that used the 307 were Pan American and TWA I would be really surprised if it was not included. Thanks

AH, everyone's favorite Sim model maker has released a livery pack for the 307 which includes
    • PAN-AM
    • TWA
    • AirNautic

I just bought this finally, and I'm curious if anyone has tried and succeeded at aliasing the sounds to any other aircraft? I'm not sure that there even is an idea aircraft to alias the sounds to, but I basically have to mute this aircraft to fly it. Very grating sounds. I enjoy it otherwise despite its performance issues (and the altimeter having a 6 for an 8 :P )
