Nice and clean VMA-223 bird. Same one I painted in the original FSX release.

I'm hesitating buying this A4. Can those that do own it confirm the rumours I'm hearing that there are separate models for different loadouts, a la FS2004? If so, I'll be astonished (very FS2004)! Many thanks.

maybe in 2024 we'll have dynamic carriers with rolling seas AND available helo rescue missions from the on station SeaHawk

until then it really doesn't matter much about carrier jets

    From Virtavia's website

    Dec 27:

    A-4E Skyhawk for MSFS v1.3 update !

A new version of the A-4E is now available which fixes a few minor issues with v1.2:

    - Taxi light ground splash: now working
    - Exhaust smoke trail (faint) : added
    - ILS needles stopped working after MSFS update : working again
    - Boarding ladder top wrong angle : now level with ground
    - Auto mixture-rich on starter : added
    - Mysterious go-faster stripe on center tank when zoomed out : removed
    - Camo vanishing off A-4G wing tanks when zoomed out : fixed
    - Missing wheel wells on LOD1 model : fixed
    - Too-small throttle grip : enlarged
    - Pipes poking though cockpit floor : removed
    - Default pilot view position : improved

SimMarket will automatically make the new version available in your account area on their site.

I hope this aircraft's flight model can be fixed. It's sad that it hasn't been yet. NC

Does anyone else find the ground handling to be.... insane? It rolls to the side during takeoff and is all over the runway. So bad I've barely used it.

I think years of online abuse have made Phil a bit sensitive to feedback, but I wonder if we could put together a politely worded feedback list on how the flight model could be improved?

It has been this way since it released. I have tried several times, unsuccessfully, to take off without the aircraft simply going berserk. No change. Would be so fun to fly if this can somehow be corrected. NC

I bought it to support Virtavia/Alphasim. But although the modelling is nice-ish, the flightmodel is not what it should be.

There's a reason why their MSFS models don't generate the repaints like they did in the good old days of Alphasim.

I remain hopeful. On a different tack, I am also optimistic that someone will do a native P-3C/EP-3E, especially since I can't get it to visualize in MSFS NC
