    DM DH84 Dragon UT

A new entry has been added to Add-Ons Library, category CFS 2 Aircraft - Commonwealth

Description: DM DH84 Dragon for CFS2 by UncleTgt

This is a conversion of the FS2004 DH84 Dragon Mk1 by Dave Molyneux. MAV helped me by using SCASM to get the flight surface animations to work in CFS2, & also swapped out Dave Molyneux's civilian looking pilot for a more military-looking one.

The pack includes new air & dp files, plus WIN 7 safe panels. It is uploaded as a complete aircraft just for ease of installation into CFS2. Keystroke animation operators are:

Cockpit door Canopy Front Command ("Shift+C")
Small Cargo Hatch Concorde Nose Extend/Retract fully (mine set to use "Z" & "Shift+Z")
Pilots Side Windows Spoiler key ("D")
    Wing Fold Wing Fold ("Shift+W")

The textures reflect various aircraft used by the RAAF during WW2. They are:

A34-30 Aircraft of 2 Air Ambulance, May '43

A34-3 Aircraft of 2 Air Observers School, circa October '41

    A34-82 KF-H of 5 Comms Unit, circa July '43

    A34-55 BK-D of 35 sqn circa August '43

To install, unzip the download to a temporary location & move/ copy files to the matching folder names inside your chosen CFS 2 install.

    Thanks to

Dave Molyneux for the original DH84 Dragon.
MAV for his SCASM skills, helping to get the flight surfaces (& more) to work in CFS2

This is freeware and subject to the usual conditions

    Thanks heaps UT,

The Dragon certainly was a funny looking aircraft. It's nice to have a few new RAAF birds to fly.

And now I can...many thanks. The little known brother of the Rapide.

    With some very nice skins.

In 1934, the DH84 "Seafarer II" went after the longest non-stop flight record of the time by flying from Wasaga Beach, Ontario to Baghdad, Iraq. They failed in three tries to take off, and the owners abandoned the attempt and sold the aircraft. In August of '34, the re-named "Trail of the Caribou" took off from Wasaga Beach in another attempt at the record, but the crew experienced some throttle problems, and was forced to land in Middlesex, England after almost 31 hours in flight. They failed their mission, but became the first successful Canada/UK trans-Atlantic flight.

Don't know if I'll attempt that in CFS2, but I will definitely enjoy taking this one for a ride. Have only had a quick glance in-game so far, but she looks great. 👍
