Here's a film clip from 1909 of Wilbur Wright flying a demonstration in Italy. What's most interesting is that the second half is shot from an on-board camera. One of, if not the first, airborne motion picture cameras.
That was pretty cool to watch. I see the "Flying Machine" had evolved at that point in time to allow Wilbur to pilot and Orville to ride but in an upright position. I read alot about them and the trials they went through in the early days. Wonder what they would think about anyone having the chance to pilot their craft here at home and on a pc!
I don't think I've ever seen any airborne movie footage older than that. I'll bet it was fascinating to the audience when shown in a theater back then. Cody, thanks for posting the link.
