Lightbulb Alpine could be open to supporting Andretti in F1 if needed

Personally, I'd rather see Ford back in the game - but hey....

I was hoping they would go to Haas at some point due to Haas NASCAR running Ford....

    Hey All,

I don't believe the gen7 car is F1 legal and Ford isn't likely to consider developing an F1 car - likely too expensive. But that said P you already have a personal connection to F1 albeit distant. To wit you I assume still own a jeep renegade and jeep is owned by Fiat Chrysler (fca) which is owned by exmor NV which owns ferrari and scuderia Ferrari is the racing division of Ferrari. (when I say owns I mean in total or in part) So P you have a distant direct relationship with Ferrari and hence F1. So why be keen on Ford reentering F1 when you have a connection and can therefore legitimately put prancing horse decals on your renegade... Totally tongue in cheek.

PS In like fashion I could put prancing horse decals on my Jeep Wrangler.... Not sure I would do that though...

and they all rode horses-that is all but one.

LoL I know Gen7 isn't comparable to an F1 engine. Also, my personal connection to F1 is also with Haas - as it would be with Andretti as well should he choose to join. Haas needs to get rid of Steiner IMHO. Never did have a Renegade - but I wouldn't mind having one!

This is the weak point of Alpine currently, they do not have a partnership with another team as other manufacturer's have and thus, they gather much less data which makes developpments and improvments more complicated and slow to come. Now they have finalized their reorganizations, looking for a partnership deal is one of the next step.

    Makes sense to me!

    Hey All,

Does Andretti have a billion dollars? Toto says that's what they need...

    https://www.autosport.com/f1/news/wo...rth-to-join-f1

Looks to me like a good ole boys club wanting to protect their turf. Kinda like the nfl team owners.

I do not see F1 as the Pinnacle peak of racing but just another peak in a mountain range consisting of multiple racing peaks.

All that said it would be good for Alpine to have a quasi partner using Renault engines.
