A little holiday present for myself, the last missing Russian Alphasim bomber in my hangar.
Even managed not to botch up my first landing in this! :d

The only true FsX Russian aircraft Alphasim currently have. Wish they would update the others for FsX, especially the Tu-22M Backfire..

I am not too geared up on Foreign military jets (or most Military jets to begin with) but that looks awesome!
....but what is it?
Take my love, take my land / Take me where I cannot stand, I don't care, I'm still free / You can't take the sky from me.
Take me out to the black / Tell 'em I ain't comin' back.
Burn the land and boil the sea / You can't take the sky from me...
You take good pictures.

I sure wish a damned plane would come out because this money is severely burning a hole in my pocket. I am waiting for that Islander but if it or the aerosoft cat or the warbirdsim mustang dont come out this month I will need to buy either the TU-22 or one of those fine Russian helos.

Brilliant airplane, the Blinder!
But, she is not in her natural environment in these shots - she should be shooting through the mountains in Alaska at Mach 1.
We did such a nice job on that plane....
.. and I don't think anyone doubts that.
Forever lurking.
This aircraft is highly underrated. The sounds are okay, and the external textures are okay, but once everything's together, the aircraft is an outstanding package. Don't expect to hear that from me often, because I'm let down and angry about 3/4s of the payware I buy. I usually don't even speak up to say positive things because the fancrowd does enough of that. It means something that I felt strongly enough to post here.
The "Blinder" truly is one of the most beautiful aeroplanes to come out of the USSR. Not only that, one of the most beautiful to come out of any country. She is just so sleek, looks more like a rocket-ship than an aeroplane!

Just noticed that it's not in the shop anymore.. Too bad as it's still an excellent aircraft.
It's interesting to see some design features on Russian aircraft that are specific to a certain manufacturer or era. You can tell a Tupolev from it's 'pods' to house the main gears when retracted and the drooping wings that every large aircraft had from the Tu-16 onwards until the Blackjack. Even the civil models have it. In the seventies it seems every aircraft had 'swing wings'; the Mig-23, Fencer, Backfire, Sukhoi 17/20/22 and a bit later the Tu-160. There's a very distinct style to most Russian aircraft that makes them instantly recognisable.
One of the more interesting features of the Blinder is the crew entrance: three hatches on the bottom of the fuselage through which the seats are lowered to hoist up the crew! Anybody know if this aircraft had ejection seats? If not a low-level escape would certainly be hazardous!
