The default GNS 430

I usually fly the PMDG DC-6 and I set up my Flight plan using the World map planner at the beginning of my flight session.

I've been trying to use the on board GNS 430 unit to set up a "direct to" destination while setting on the runway..... does the thing work for y'all or is it busted by SU 7 ?

I've confirmed that the GNS 430 & 530 units will not let you do a "direct to" function.... the default C-172, PMDG DC-6 and several of the Reno add-on pkg. T-6 and P-51
