Thanks Alessandro, I picked up that link from you in another thread. I should have the Red One above finished today and started another interesting version, the most colorful 190 ever. This is what I have so far on Herman Graf.

ooooooooooooo!!!
Great paintwork, Tom, but I think that Graf plane was an A-5 and not an A-4.

alx, I have seen references to both the A-5 and A-4. Not sure which is correct, one thing I did see in the literature is that this was his personal aircraft but never flown in actual combat. It was captured at the end of the war.

That's a beautiful paint job Tom!

To err is human; to forgive is divine
Hi Tom, yes, sweet, and yes, it's an A-5.
Graf was bored when he visited the channel front for an informal thingin 1943 and so let the ground crew have some fun with it.
There are a number of photos of Graf with other pilots and IIRC even women around this plane, all more or less in champaign mood.
This plane never saw combat in those colors.
Don't think it has been captured though as he most likely returned to the eastern front with it with the plane back to more neutral colors.
Thanks for the comments guys. Good info Mathia, I have had a devil of a time finding info about this color scheme although I found a really old photo that I will include when I post her here. Mathias, I must say you made the paint kit really easy to use, the layout is the best I have seen in a long time. Much appreciated!!
Tom
