Icon22 Looking for a possible conversion of a classic

The FS2000/2002 Fokker DXXIII fs_23.zip. I have tried to convert it it comes our ok, but the rear prop does not animate. Payakan did a great job on this D23 and it has stood the test of time.
If anyone can get the rear prop in action please let me know. Thanks for the De Schelde DS21 from Peperez a great aircraft. so many new planes flying lately just want one more miracle.

I already converted it. I'm preparing a new model with VC.

And Pepe asked me whether I could make a proper texture for it. In general Payakan's models don't like to be repainted. And the D.XXIII is definitely no exception, and a clear and complete example of all the problems you can put in one model. A part from the flaps is also use as the texture for the back panel in the cockpit and bleeds over the fuselage. The tail beams have one texture which is repeated 4 times. The fuselage even has a part which is covered by two textures which are both visible..... Some textures are so stretched it will be hard to drawn any panel lines.....

The model also has parts were the polys are stretched and compressed, causing light and dark spots.

I promised Pepe I would give it a try. So that is what I'm currently doing. But with what I have seen so far it is impossible to do an accurate authentic repaint. I will my best and try to do something "nice to see".
(I did something similar with the Fokker T.5 by Payakan)

    Cheers,
    Huub

This is about the best I can do with the limitations of this model. I understand Peperez still has a challenge to get the rear propeller working, but I will upload my repaint soon(ish).

    Fokker D23 Luchtvaart Afdeling

A new entry has been added to Add-Ons Library, category CFS 2 Skins - Other

Description: This file contains a repaint for the old FS2000/FS2002 Fokker D.23 model by Richard Alexander van Hien. The repaint was done on request of Peperez for a cfs2 conversion of this model. Due to the limitations of the model, it is hardly possible to make an authentic or more detailed repaint. Nevertheless I hope you like it.

The Fokker D.23 was a revolutionary design of a push-pull twin engined fighter, with nose gear. In an attempts to reduce frontal surface Fokker placed the engines in a tandem configuration. To reduce weight Fokker used the Czech air cooled Walter Sagitta engines, which didn't need a heavy cooling system. The aircraft survived the German invasion in 1940 and was studied by the Germans. In 1943 Dornier produced the Dornier Do 335 Pfeil which had a similar configuration.

    Enjoy,

Could it be a "last converted animation" bug? there is a bug with mdlc, the last converted animation listed on the top of the scasm file don't work, could it be Engine1?
The way to round it can be to cut a line with an animation not working in CFS2 and paste it at the end of the list, "crash check" is perfect for that...

It's the f switch it needs to fix the animation

I'm pretty sure you're correct Martin. Whatever method is used to convert, this engine prop refuses to rotate, even though the animation shows up in MCX.

Could you explain the details of adding the "fake" animation to the scasm file - I know I can use Allen's DOSmdl to get the sca file, which I can view using Notepad, but I'm unsure what to look for, & what exactly to add (& where to add it). It sounds like a very useful trick to learn .
