Just wonder if it is a generic effect which can be used for each aircraft or if it is just a specific effect for just a specific aircraft.
How will it work? Where is it added? Very interesting, but I am not too excited after reading the comments below the YouTube vid....
Best regards, Manfred.
I do see the heat distortion effect (Jet exhaust shimmer) in some of his photos here

Compatible aircraft list : a list of compatible aircrafts with exact heat distortion engine datas already exists. with these data i can than create the heat distortion effect straight away ! The list is
going to become bigger and bigger because user can update their data to share with the others.

As far as i understood from his voice over
it can be transfered to all already existing Jet aircraft in P3d !
listen to his voice at 0:52 sec. Video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TeOnJRuqYPY&t=49s
Picture got provided by Steve Cooke read videodiscription !
Maybe I became a little bit blind, but I checked carefully the video provided at the beginning of this topic, and I cannot see any kind of heat blur effect in it ?
Am I looking at the wrong video ?
I *do* see that old trick about the semi-transparent smoke effect added to each engine, yes, but I do not see any blur effect. All objects/scenery that we see through that smoke loop crisp and clear.
Nowhere do I see any blur like that Tornado shot on top.
What's the trick ?
Its in 4K !
maybe you need to change the resolution on Youtube
i can see it ! and even better at the Carenado FA50 EX
well it doesn't look as good like the heatblur in DCS but that is what he explained in the videodiscription
Thumbnails are always better otherwise no YouTuber could exist !
