I can understand your need to take a break. You've done a lot lately. This either has to be fun, or you should get paid for it, As soon as I can get my settings here to allow me to post screenshots, emoticons etc, I will post Operation Dragoon in a new thread. I am 6 missions and the second day (D+2) into it and taking a break myself while searching for more info.

For the AF=Midway their were 15 missions which I redid all the ships and planes plus the 5 I have also done.

The Fast Carrier Raids are 17 missions which I also changed ships and planes.Since Stuart released new ships I have to replace some ships with the new ones.It takes a lot of time.

I now have 22 missions done with about 3 or 4 to go.The reason it is taking so long is because they are over 30 minutes of flight time.So just for me to test them to make sure they work the way they should I have to fly them several times which can take several hours to do,not to mention the time it takes to fix things that don't work as they should.

I am using action reports from Enterprise,Yorktown and Hornet for these missions and I found other info on the heading of both the IJN Fleet and the USN Fleet and formation of them.

To get some of these missions to work right I did,I had to do spawns a little different.I would spawn a friendly AI flight from my plane and than spawn the enemy fighters from my AI flight, worked great.

I needed one of my ships attacked while we were attacking the IJN Carriers. What I did was spawn the enemy and friendly planes from the ship way point I wanted it to get attacked at.Also worked well.

I'm just mentioning this because novice mission builders may not know you can do this. Most may think you can only spawn off the player flight. Also I don't think anyone else has mentioned doing this, but I may be wrong.

    Useful snippet TheBookie.

Because you can't spawn infrastructure objects, I find I'm configuring more & more objects as vehicles. Whilst it makes ground attack missions more cluttered in some ways, the ability to have these objects spawn, or their appearance then used as a trigger for other mission events is so incredibly useful.

... and for overwater/anti-shipping missions, you'll probably never use the Tactical display to show "Ground Units" anyway , so it won't matter ...

I have 23 missions done,15 are the original AF=Midway with all new up to date ships and planes.

    My missions.
    1-Enterprise Dauntless attack on Akagi.

    2-Yorktown Dauntless attack on Soryu.

In both missions the IJN Fleet was heading North West as they should be,also before you attack VT-5 attacks Hiryu with torpedoes and you get action reports.

3-Yorktown search for Hiryu.During this mission you get action reports of the Val attack and later the Kate attack on Yorktown.

4-Hornet sends fighters to defend Yorktown during the Val attack.

5-Enterprise fighters shoots down a IJN search plane.

6-Enterprise fighters shoot down a Mavis.

7-Hornet attacks the escort ships of Hiryu after she is put out of action.

I also redid the original "Best of the Best" having IJN ships going to the North West as they should be.

Some of these missions take over 30 minutes to fly.

I want to do at least 2 more missions but not sure which ones I want to do.

My choices are another intercept by Hornet fighters of the Kates attacking Yorktown,Enterprise Dauntless attack on Kaga, attack on a BB during the attacks on Akagi,Kaga and Soryu.(The BB was attacked after Akagi and Kaga were in flames)and the dauntless attack on Hiryu.

All these missions are from the action reports from the 3 USN carriers.

I was hoping some members would like to have a say in the last 2 missions, but I forgot the new CFS2 forum likes to be silent except for some of the old timers. That's fine.I'll just do what I feel is best.

A friendly reminder that some members here are not retired yet and have children to take care of after working hours through the week. You might have more luck with your need of replies during week-ends.

That being said, thank you for giving these classic campaigns such an attractive update. Just choose the missions you feel like doing. Really looking forward to the final result .

    Hi TheBookie,

You're too quick for me! I've being going through our inventory of Battle of Midway missions looking for something that may not have been covered.

Not counting your 8 new ones, we have 25 US and 5 Japanese missions.

In addition to the aircraft in the AF=Midway missions, we have F2A-3s, PBYs, B-17s and B-26s.

With the release of Stuart's latest Northampton, perhaps a Seagull catapult launch in her role of protecting the Enterprise?

Maybe we can also talk Stuart into updating the ships in his Midway missions.

    Cheers,

    Kevin

Roxane-21: That is why Rami has been so scarce -life takes priority. He assures me he'll be back on with us soon.
TheBookie: I too eagerly look forward to your release. I have no input for missions though.

I sent 6 of the new missions to be tested. The other ones still need to have the briefings and ect to be finished.

Shadow Wolf-I didn't want to interfere with your work on the Dragoon Campaign so didn't send them to you.If you want to try them let me know.
