Martin A-30 Baltimore MkV for Fs9

    Hi Folks,
The next in Chris Lampard's electronic aircraft factory, a Martin A-30 Baltimore MkV. Great looking aircraft, and he's made a superb job of this. Lots of animations, beautiful VC, excellent textures, one of those little forgotten but important ac of WWII.

Still being tweaked at this time...but soon..

    Cheers

Not only forgotten but under-rated too.

    Looking forward to it.

    Hello Shessi,

    Thank you for this adaptation!
A plane not well known enough!
I use it danx FSX,she flies well, but in external view the windows are gray (opaque!)
Is there a way to make them transparent?
In vc, no worries, they are very transparent!
    Thank you in advance!

    Hi Folks,
Brian, W, Huub, glad you like her, Chris has done a superb job.

    Carlos,
Sir, yes, sir! (anyway you're going to last for at least another 20 years or more!)...I know, I know....

    Alain,
Sorry I can't really be definite in helping you, but the glass texture is taken from the Balt_1.bmp. Along the top are the various coloured square swatches that are used. The glass uses the grey square which is sixth in from the right hand side, try changing it to a darker grey or absolute black and see if that makes it transparent.

    Ian,
Good stuff, a Maltese base maybe??

    Cheers

    Hello Shessi,

    -Thank you for the indications!
I have tried several colors from black to white, but without success!
The windows persist in remaining opaque!
Note that when I pass in front of trees or buildings, the opacity turns into transparent!
Well, if someone finds a solution, I'll take it!
    Have a good day

Cant help with Malta at the moment, but would Biferno do.

    Biferno, Campomarino, Adriatic coast, Italy.

Just a quicky for the new Martin Baltimore, 13th Royal Hellenic airforce, serving under the Balkan airforce alongside South African, Yugoslave, Polish and Italian cobelligerent, also, apparently, a sqd of 12 C47's and accompanying Yaks of the Soviet airforce, although i haven't found any pics online

Tower from my Pompeii scenery and vehicles from my RAF Chittagong scenery
Thanks to Al Simms for the tents

Nothing special, just somewhere to fly from, :-)

PS Malta is on the to do list but there are problems to solve :-(

    Alain,
If I get time I'll take a look, probably it would be better to post the question in the FSX forum, as I bet someone has already done it or will do it.

Many thanks Ian, stops the tyres from getting muddy!

I hope the 'problems' are not too bad?

    Cheers

Alain, I think the gray window glass is one of those things that can happen when a FS9 plane is imported straight into FSX. Look at your props when the engines are running and you'll see that the trees and buildings disappear. That's another FS9-to-FSX bug. I tried adding an alpha channel to the Balt_1.bmp texture and still couldn't get the window glass to become transparent.

There are some interesting Mil6 and Mil8 textures (FS9 to FSX) by Vlad Z that suffer from this same issue. Windows are opaque grey from the outside, textures (crinkled) grey from the inside. No idea how to straighten that out.

    Hello,

Thanks for your feedback, so I will be using the airplane in FS9!
    Have a good day!

    Great model Guys.
I just couldn't stop myself from seeing what it would look like in some other colours.
Here is a what if it had arrived in time scheme, that I am playing with.
