    SOH Grumman Tracker RCN Repaints.

I'm looking for a Royal Canadian Navy (CP-121) repaint of the SOH Grumman Tracker.
    FSX or later preferably!
I've seen a few pictures on the Google machine but can't seem to find the download anywhere!
    Any help would be appreciated!

    Thanks and cheers!

I've just found two repaints on Flightsim by Gary Moore, a yellow and a camouflage version. Just search Canadian Grumman Tracker.

Thanks Paul on the lead to that RCN Yellow FIP. Been looking for one, for my snooping the Arctic Ocean and Baffin Tub.

    Thanks for the reply Paul.
I had found those previously but they are both fictional.
I am looking for the RCN scheme they wore when flying from the Bonaventure.

    Cheers!

I did find a RCN Tracker repaint here at SOH but the texture files are in .bmp form.
Anyone able to convert to .dds?

Attached is a Imagetool utility set up to convert bmp to dds/dxt5.

Put all bmps in its folder, run the .bat file, copy converted files to your aircraft texture folder(s).

    Thanks very much Milton!
That definitely makes it an easy process!
Only issue is all of the textures are now upside down on the model.
What is the correct process? “Flip” or “rotate” the .bmp files before converting them?

Ah, my apologies. Edit the .bat file to remove the -vflip.

Well sir, that worked like a charm!
My first crack at converting textures, I appreciate the help.

A little homework for me required yet as a few of the textures did not survive the transition.
Air intakes, search light housing, wing fold hinges, etc. are still white.

Those parts are found on texture tails_t. May be a alpha channel, or tails_t_spec issue.

I have both Bonaventure and Melbourne in FSX

I don't know what it takes to make these work in V5 if its possible. Someone wiser than I here would have to tell you but here is the link to them. I have used them both as aicarriers boat traffic and they are quite nice for free:

Thanks tgycgijoes, I have them both working in v5.1 without any issues.
There is a newer/final version of them here at SOH.

I may have actually downloaded the SOH ones after originally finding them on Simviation. Thank you for the reminder. I haven't used them in quite a while. Originally if I remember I downloaded them to use with Rob's RCN jets he had on his site. Glad I got them when I did and archived them.
