Avia B-135 Czech fighter for Fs9 by Chris Lampard

    Hi Folks,
Just uploaded Chris's next Czech installment, an Avia B-135 fighter.

I've always liked this little fighter, a mix of Typhoon and Hurricane maybe, interesting subject. Used by the Bulgarians during WWII, and saw action against USAF B24 raids.

    Happy Christmas!

    Cheers

    Shessi

Very nice looking aircraft. Pity it didn't get a proper propeller for better performance.
Perhaps you might wish to move the upload announcement from the CFS1 A-20 thread over here where it is more appropriate?

    I couldn't resist.....

Only 12 B-135-1 production aircraft were build, and all for the Bulgarian Air Force. When the Germans invaded Czechoslovakia they blocked further production of this aircraft. So this is an "what-if" aircraft which shows the B-135 after it was introduced in the Czechoslovakian Air Force to replace the early type B-534 fighters.

    Cheers,
    Huub

Thanks for the nice words, but you should thank Chris Lampard as he is the real man behind these beautiful models.

The repaint is available in the library.

    Enjoy,
    Huub

The scenery below is by Ian Elliot and can be found in the Avia B-534 IV thread.

Many thanks Shessi and Chris, for this fine model of an often overlooked Czech aircraft.

I was hoping that would happen. A fitting addition to this fine model.
    Thank you Huub.

The first prototype for what would become the Avia B-135 was the B-35-1. As can be seen below, this aircraft was painted in a camouflage scheme.

I think this must have inspired the Czech model kit manufacturer RS models to release a B-135 model in a similar scheme. I think he was carried away by the idea a bit, but it looks nice.

The camouflage scheme is of course fictional as there were only 12 production aircraft build. Which all ended in a rather boring Bulgarian standard scheme.

So a good reason for me to do something similar .

    Beautiful Huub!

I saw that scheme early on and then realised it was for the B35, but does look good, and would have been the scheme used by the Czechs.....so a very good reason!

    Cheers
