There's a new Dragon in the skys [Released to SOH 18 Sep 21]

DaveG from CBFSim is rebuilding the DH-89A Dragon Rapide for MSFS 2020, and he asked if I would take a look at the flight model. Frankly, what he and Rick Piper did for the FSX Dragon Rapide is legendary and I do not wish to disturn that legacy, SO, I will be moving Ricks work over too the new model as best as I can and filling in the blanks as best as I can where needed.. Keep your eyes open folks. Its going to be wonderful..

Mod edit: Released to SOH Library. See post #42 in this thread and beyond. Link to d/l page: http://www.sim-outhouse.com/sohforum...p?linkid=28440

    Excellent news!
It already looks great, but it would be nice to have instruments as well...

Delighted to have Pam on board working with the flight model. It's been a steep learning curve so far, with much , but it's getting there.

Nice! I'd love to see the Historic Flight Foundation's livery.

Alas, this was involved in a takeoff crash a couple of years ago and the HFF's John Sessions lost a foot. But he's flying again. (I don't think the Dragon Rapide has been repaired -- it's not on the HFF roster in their new Spokane location.)

I'm flying from the northern tip of the South Island to the North Island (in the 4th shot, they're not in the right order) of New Zealand.

Wonderful, I love the FSX version. I* did this repaint YoYo of the FSX Drangon Rapide used in the filing of a Poirot episode on BBC and PBS in the US. Hope there can be a Paint Kit incorporated with this.

    Here's a challenge...

St Mary's (Scillies) 1961, from Philip Cleife's excellent "Airway to the Isles".
Only clue to colour is it's ex-BEA and the rudder is "red-white-red".
Sadly the airline only lasted 3 years...I was there 10 years later and bought the book from a 2nd Hand stall.

I was wrong though, that is a repaint of the plane shown above. This is the Poirot plane.

Repaints for the Fsx model will still fit as the mapping hasn't changed, but the textures will need to be renamed and the pbr composite maps added.

Btw. I take now FSX version (yeeeep, from 2007 ;D, I guess he has never been updated since then for P3Dv1-5) , and fire up in P3Dv5, the difference is huge in VC and outside. Great work!

+1 for this VC for P3Dv5 also (and external). Btw. FSX version has passengers too (just wishes but if the 3D new PBR model is ready why not?).
