RAF/RFC/RNAS Repaints for Gary Aumaugher's D.H.4 by Ravenna

Are there any skins for Gary Aumaugher's very nice Airco D.H.4? I can't seem to find any and it's a important WWI aircraft.

Its on my "to do" list, but it deserves a better painter.

    Hi Stoney,
Is there any way to get hold of Gary's DH4?

    Cheers

    Stoney,

7 repaints for the DH.4. 8 if I count N6000. I'm still trying to work out where the tail texture ends and the undercarriage legs begin. I'm hoping to find that today!

To be honest Ravenna , I was thinking of the silver, post war schemes, but any and all would be great.

    RAF D.H.4 Repaints for CFS2

A new entry has been added to Add-Ons Library, category CFS 2 Skins - World War I

Description: This set of 3 repaints is for RAF D.H.4 aircraft operating from airfields in northern France in 1918.

The repaints are based on, and so incorporate a set of beautiful templates created by Captain Kurt. Thanks Kurt!

Airco's D.H.4 made an important contribution to the air campaign over Northern France and Belgium during 1917 and 1918. They served with the Royal Flying Corps, the Royal Naval Air Service and the Royal Air Force. They also served with the United States Air Service and the USMC/USNAS.

Many thanks to Gary Aumaugher for such a fine model.

    Mike Lang (Ravenna)

RFC and RNAS Repaints for Gary Aumaugher's D.H.4 by Ravenna

A new entry has been added to Add-Ons Library, category CFS 2 Skins - World War I

Description: ROYAL FLYING CORPS AND ROYAL NAVAL AIR SERVICE D.H.4 REPAINTS FOR GARY AUMAUGHER’S D.H.4 FOR CFS2
These repaints represent the following aircraft:
    · A8043, 18 squadron RFC, 2nd Lt. R.A. Mayne and Lt. V. Scott, La Bellevue France, March 1918
    · A7429, 55 squadron RFC, Lt. C. Davies and Lt. W. Cook, Doullens France, June 1917
    · A2140, 55 squadron RFC, Lt. R.A. Logan and Lt. F.R. Henry, Fienvillers France, July 1917
    · N5987, 5 wing RNAS, St Pol sur Mer France, late 1917
    · N6000, 5 wing RNAS, St Pol sur Mer France, late 1917

Thanks to Kurt Schwabaeur (Captain Kurt) for producing the great templates which form the base of these repaints.

Thanks to Gary Aumaugher for his fine model of the D.H.4

Thanks also to KDriver and Martin.Klein for their feedback.

The D.H.4s of the R.N.A.S. actually had two forward firing Vickers guns, unlike the standard R.F.C. single gun. Sorry, but I didn’t get around to altering the DP.

This pack is freeware and subject to the usual conditions.

    Happy Flights,
    Mike Lang (Ravenna)

mav, all made possible with Captain Kurt's layered templates.

There is an altered DP for the RNAS version. It adds a second Vickers gun for the pilot. I'll post it here when I'm allowed back into my study
