SWS F4B/N Legacy - Looking for repaints

    Hello everyone
I'm unable to find any U.S.NAVY repaint here in the library for the SWS Phantom ( excluded the camo liveries for USAF F4C/D).
I'm wrong or no paints have been done ?

Sim-Outhouse is certainly one place to look for repaints of anything but definitely not the only place.
I would recommend trying the following:

    flightsim.com
    avsim.com
    simviation.com

    Hope this helps.

JensOle did a couple, if you search in library here,
they are the later low vis schemes though.

I can download the files, but they're all reported as corrupt.

Just downloaded a couple and they are good to go.
Checked the size of the zip files and they are correct.

So what are you attempting to unzip them with?

I'm using the latest version of Winzip. Windows 10 can't open them either.

I use the 64bit version of WinRAR.
Costs about A$40.00+/-, works with W10 and comes in 32 or 64bit versions.
Bear in mind that US$1.00 buys A$1.70+/- loose change.

You could also try a little utility called Universal Extractor,
you'll need to use mr Google to find it.

Does what it says, and can extract from many file archives ( but cannot create archives) .

Yeah, seems I'm locked out too. Can download anything and files show correct size but neither winzip nor windows 10 can open them. Says zip is empty. Ever since the last windows update last week strange things have been happening. This is just another added bug.

On the very latest build of Windows 10, and I can download and unzip anything I want. Like Wombat, I use the 64bit version of Winrar, just the free one.

I just downloaded/installed Win-rar from the above link then freshly downloaded one of my own repaints and winrar tells me the archive is corrupt. Now I just learned I cannot post photos here or I would post a screen shot of the error. Win-rar shows me the all the files within the zip but will not open it. AV was disabled when I downloaded and installed as Admin.

I can open any other zip on my system with Windows/Winzip/Win-rar.

Or is this just my imagination?

EDIT: Just downloaded files from AVSIM and FLITGHSIM and can unzip all using all 3 apps.

    Me too...

eta: No problem unzipping files downloaded from AVSIM or FlightSim. I also get a blank white screen before the download starts here at SOH, never saw that before. Something is wrong here!

  18. #18
Winzip or winrar, never had a problem unzipping paints downloaded from Soh, Avsim, Flightsim..
The most odd thing is that yesterday I downloaded and unzipped all Jens Ole camo paints without problems, and today, after have seen the corrupted files message regarding the Navy paints I've tried to download one more time one of the Jens Ole camo paints to check and I was unable to unzipp it... (=corrupted files, but yesterday no...)

    Hi,

They have been tested by others before uploading and they worked for me/them.

Just tried the first one one the link I posted, downloaded fine and Windows 10 64-bit (1909, 2004 is ready, but not sure now) and 7-zip (free) both open them fine. I did however have difficulty posting screenies yesterday, haven't tried today.

I know, I have previously downloaded the USAF SEA camo paints with no problem. But, for me anyway , they won't unzip now with Windows 10. Haven't tried anything else. It's not just your files, I downloaded Ed's Pocono Mountain Municipal scenery (which I have and experienced no problem with before) and got the same result. Wouldn't unzip with 7Zip either. It's a site wide problem apparently.

With me it wasn’t just JenSole’s uploads. I tested several freshly downloaded zips including one of my own and could open none.

Thanks Ian. Just tried it and it seems to be OK now, just as you said. It would have been nice if the admins had given us a heads up. I know they were working on something last night while the site was down as I got the message that they were working on a software issue and the site might be down for a while.

Anyway, thanks again for the reply.
