There are now several importable FSX gliders with VCs and a workaround for wind gusts makes ridge soaring easy.
See my MSFS Gliding Youtube channel - https://www.youtube.com/playlist?lis...wyAtXpYopWWaCP for details

Just need some thermals, wave and convergence lift now, and maybe several dedicated MSF2020 sailplanes, hopefully from this century, not the last........ and we might have a genuine rival for Condor 2...... :-)

You have to import them yourselves, the Aerosoft K21 and Discus X can be imported, also the default FSX DG
    K21 is the easiest

I've climbed 4,000 ft above ridge level stationary over Camphill ... almost wave

MSFS will never compete with Condor though...

4000ft seems too high for ridge lift of that hill - so wonder what is happening - poor modelling of ridge lift or have they actually managed to model wave lift? It would be nice to have just one sim to fly everything realistically in though - just hoping MSFS might develop into that.................but a long way to go yet.
