I've edited GSL files (as well as BGLs) in the past with Frhed. It has always worked.

I tested the AD objects and they are positioned in the same places as the LW ones.

I had a look at Bruges and it's going to need fixing in any case. Once again small groups of objects in certain locations have been moved east by a few metres - very strange. I'll substitute the LW wharves with the AD ones.

I'll add Allen's objects to the Library Objects Expansion Pack.

    Cheers,
    Kevin

Glad to know they are working fine. Also a replacement for the LW_wharf_ramp_D1 and fix for missing DP from my last upload.

Thanks Allen. Once B24Guy stops finding omissions, I'll post the amended files here in addition to a new package upload.

    Hi All,
I guess I kind of opened a can of worms. But things seem to be sorting out.
Thanks much for the files Allen. Now I have to just change the Ramp BMP name in the GSL.
I think there is only one used.

Kdriver, this GSL and scenery is fantastic.

    Regards,
    Scott

    Hi All,
Well when I finally added Allen's new barracks objects they put me over the DP limit for my install.

I removed Wolfi's Asian houses. Don't think I will need them for the ETO.

It looks like we don't need AD_barracks_d2 bgl. It is not used in the GSL and I could not see any difference with LW's.

    Regards,
    B24Guy

I just went with the 4 objects that kdriver said where used and it included LW_barracks_d2 so I remade it. If not needed scrap it.

    Hi Allen,
The only one in the GSL file is LW_barracks_d1.
I wonder if Kdriver made a mistake and meant to use d2 and or d4?

I'll have a look through the layouts for the barracks. I can't rely on memory for this!

    Hi Chaps,

I listed the four LW objects which use the stock texture inf_large_building_1.bmp, not which objects in the WW1 package use that texture.

The wharf ramp doesn't use that texture, but it's no problem grouping it with the other wharf objects for consistency sake.

Allen's amended objects are valid for all theatres of war because of the new BGL names, GUIDs and unique texture names.

If you have a separate WW1 install, the DP count can be kept down by deleting nearly all the WW2 weapons, LW's palm and gum trees, Robert John's raised rail tracks, and many of Cees Donker's WW2 objects. I made a DP list in the download package for the latter two categories.

    Cheers,

    Kevin

    Hi All,
Thanks for the clarification. I have removed quite a few DP's.
I had to add Westfront's WWI pilots, because the ones that came with the Gotha pack did not work.
Something with the BGL file I believe. I have not looked into it yet.

I did see the LW_hanger_D1 somewhere as I was flying around, but I can't remember where.

    Regards,
    B24Guy

    Ravenna,
I don't think you have to worry about the Barracks.
Kdriver's clarification explains the reasoning for the change.

    Hi Flanders Flyers,

Here is an amended GSL with Allen's wharf section and end cap. I used the hex editor to change the objects. You will have to change the extension from txt to gsl.

After flying over Bruges to make sure everything was in the right place, I ended up moving other moved objects with MB. There were houses in canals after the last amendment a couple of months ago. Once again, when I fixed that problem, MB decided to move all the objects on the adjacent Koolkerke aerodrome a few metres to the east - very frustrating.

I hope this one is OK.

Thanks Guys. A very enlightening exchange. I look forward to seeing all the ducks line up as they should. As a sidelight, I'm now getting a missing object message for 'inf_zm_pierwhouse', even though I have added the files.

I don't even have that object Michael. ZM_Shed and z_mole_hangar are the closest buildings I have to that.

    Ravenna,
I'm sure you deleted the filelist.dat. But that is my first thought. DP_file is the second.
I will make sure that it works and sent it again.

    Hi Kdriver,
I think ZM_shed is not needed. It was part of the org. package and did not need fixed.

    Hi Kdriver,
Here is the revised package. Names changed and un-needed BGL removed.

Thanks again Scott. I'll add these to the latest version of the Library Objects Expansion pack. I'll post the GSL, an updated installation guide and the missing Furnes texture here to save downloading the entire Western Front package which I will upload again in any case.

    Cheers,
    Kevin

Oi Vey! I think we created a monster. Thanks Kevin for your organisational genius. Thanks Scott for all the new objects. They add a lot to the look of the place.

Who would have guessed what one little Mole could cause.
    Great job by all involved.

German troops can now mount the mole. Is that a gun in his holster?

Just wondering what I missed doing to have the cannons on the ground unless they are actually on camouflaged towers. About N51*20.57', E3*14.65'
