F-16Cs of the Vermont ANG - repaints

    Hi,

These two repaints can now be found at Avsim. Both are Block 25s for real but I have adapted them to a GE powered model as these have more interesting stores configs.

I want to thank Dave O'Brien, Ken Middleton (photographers) and Sammy Holmes (vUSAF) for reference provided for these repaints. You guys were of immense value.

Oh, I did the Green Mountain Boy in vector grapics in Corel Draw:

    Thanks

Those look fantastic! I've been thinking about picking up the Aerosoft F-16 and these might just put me over the edge.

By the way, if you need a place to park them, I've done Burlington International Airport, with the Air Guard ramp. It's also in the Avsim Library:

Cool Paints. I've been working on the Iowa ANG planes myself. Should be up on Avsim in the next few days.

    Fabulous Dag, downloading now.

I am getting ready to start an Indiana ANG F-16 and would like to know what Font you used in the "The Green Mountain Boys" and "158th Fighter Wing" in your Corel draw image. That is the Font I need to use for the pilot and crew chief's names.

Bring on them Black Hawks Kiwikat.

Here's another progress shot. I still have to resize the bird guy and see if I can get the sidewinders orange.

One of the things I miss about not working at Burlington airport anymore... The 16's

When they were using runway 33 in the summer, me and one of the other guys would go over to the access road to the "valley" in the company pickup with our hearing protectors. In that spot on the access road, the 16's were only about 300 feet away when they went to burner. The pilots would give us a thumbs up just before cutting loose. Fun times

The font is Zapf Chancery Demi, with a bit of extra spacing between characters.

Monotype Corsiva is similar, if you can find a demibold version of it - the regular Monotype Corsiva is the same as Zaph Chancery (not Demi), but there are extra tails in the standard version that the demibold does not have.

That's the only one I fly anymore:amen: Since I saw it at EAA last year its been my favorite. I'm glad you're enjoying it too.

I've finished the Greyscale Herky Iowa one and am going to do the colored version sometime soon. I'd be happy to do a regular Wisconsin one as well (it's been my intention all along but I sort of forgot...). Don't got time tonight because of work, but tomorrow I'll look into it.:karate:

Awesome. I've seen that paint in real life - they came KDLH, where I work as a controller.
