    Captain Kurt's 9th F.S, 49th F.G

I cannot get this to download. gives me " this page isn't working". ???
I am trying to reinstall Captain Kurt's campaign due to some CTD issues.
I am able to download Shadow wolf 07 Saratoga CV-3.

PM me your email and i will send USS_Saratoga_CV3_2020.zip to you -it's only 4.6 mb. If you are looking for an earlier version, I had the library take them down. BTW: the download link is working now.

    Cheers:

I did get the new version of Saratoga CV-3 and did find the 9th F.S. on a USB drive. Glad the D/L is working though.
I think my CTD problem with 9th F.S. was in the transfer of my "F' drive into a newer desktop. Not sure but it will get fixed. It was working OK in my old computer.
    Thanks

Yep, the link to download the campaign seems to be broken.

Perhaps the admin can get it corrected.

    Captain Kurt's 9th F.S. link broken

I tried to reload what I had from my usb drive and getting a strange phenomenon. None of the infrastructure is showing up on the airfields when I start a mission. It seems that all the Info, objects and scenery DB are there -- inf, weapons and veh. I tried the file list dat and cdp delete.
The amamb problem showed up again and the link is still broken to try to d/l again.

    Captain Kurt et al,

The link is fixed. Google Chrome throws a hissy fit when there are commas in the file name of a download. So I used underscores between the spaces, and now all is well.

    scenery db issues

    Captain Kurt
The scenery library in the sim settings/library screen shows that all of the 4 Maskrider sceneries and your 9th fs airfields are there but in the sim files itself only the stock scenery db is there.
When I start a mission, the scenery at takeoff is bare--nothing-- only a vehicle or two and parked a/c. Only the cfs2.gsl file in the GSL folder
    I installed to a new,clean install.

    Question Reply...

    Highpockets,

What Windows OS do you have? Are you using the same settings on this sim as the others you have installed? (I did sleep better last night, in case you were wonndering)

    highpockets,

You may have already covered what I am going to say below.......

How many KB is your cfs2.gsl?

    Stock default is 263KB.
If your GSL folder CFS2.gsl is only 263KB, default objects are the only things which will show without a layout file with them in the LAYOUTS folder.

Also, one of the things I have found very helpful in MBing is to move all of my (airfield)_AFD bgls into: C:\...\Microsoft Combat Flight Simulator 2\SCENEDB\afdfiles\scenery folder.

Without being able to actually look at your separate folders within Combat Flight Simulator 2 main folder, it is difficult to pin down what is going on.

I don't have that campaign on any of my installs, so I cannot know exactly what you have and have not gotten done.
Did that campaign come with gsl files to install using GSLMan?
If so, did they install correctly and increase your CFS2.gsl appropriately?
If not, did it come with layout files to make the scenery objects visible/usable?
Does your main Combat Flight Simulator 2 folder have an "error.txt" file sitting there?
If so, what does it say you are missing?

Sorry I got distracted by 9-11 memorial this morning.
This is an autoinstaller. The GSL cfs2.cfg = 263 kb. The error log was a vehicle that was in the mission as a CFS 1 object( amamb) and in the mdlfile as AmAmb . Nothing in the layouts folder. The scenery db folder:
    fx
    inf
    library
    pilots
    runways
    ships
    test
    veh
    weapons
    world
Files are write protected so not many changes can be made

No GSL file is included. The airfield scenery call outs are in the missions themselves and/or in the airfields as APIs. Way back then, I didn't understand GSL and did it all the hard way.

I only included MR and LW scenery/trees in addition to the stock scenery bgl. I just ran the installer and those are in the install. If they aren't showing up in your install, you could just add them and you should be all set.
    Cheers,

    Captain Kurt
