Jan I'd be wary of doing this - when I said it trashed my sim, I meant just that. All the bindings are undone, and it will take days to re-assemble the sim!
I posted the shots in jest to entertain the Scrooges

Jan, while you ignore the insect for now, why not revisit a mammal, like the Hellcat?

Here's another paint I just uploaded on fs.2, #35 of VF-17, based on USS Hornet in 1945:

Just a pity that the kill markings are politically correct...

Had some time to get some flying done while waiting for an R/C kit

Spitfire blasting down Loch Ness, no Monster to be seen

And continuing my DC-6 journey, first in Alaska along the aleutian islands

And than further on to the Kamtchatka peninsula

    And than onwards toward Japan

Checking out Tiger's flight model files for the C-47 and the Orbx Great Britain mesh, liking both so far

The Eichhorn T-6 over Aachen, my current place of residence. The small airfield recently got a nice update on flightsim.to

And finally, the 109G over Kassel, sporting one of Bomber's liveries

Lining up for the "Ace landing" I once read about in a book, couldn't find anything on the net, but apperently some pilots did it with the 109, approaching the runway 1km above, setting flaps and gear up, shutting the engine down and than diving for the runway. Worked like a charm. One of the few planes I know where the take-off is harder to master than the landing.
