Description: 1942 USN Skinpack for Wolfi's TBF-1 Avenger by UncleTgt

This is a collection of repaints for the TBF-1 Avenger made by Wolfi for CFS 2. It includes 2D panel bitmaps made WIN 7+ compatible (I just made them larger), as WIN 7+ O/S struggles with 1024 x 768 bitmaps. I've made some slight adjustments to the dp files for AI performance in combat & added kelti exhaust effects.

The textures are: TBF-1 (early model)

8-T-1 One of the detachment of VT-8 deployed to Midway Island, June 1942.
Black "10" Aircraft of VT-3, flying from USS Enterprise, August 1942.
White "64" Aircraft from VT8, flying from USS Saratoga, August 1942.
White "16" Aircraft of VT-6, based on USS Hornet, October 1942.
Black T-3 Aircraft from VT8, flying from USS Hornet, October 1942.
White T-4 Aircraft of VT-10, flying from USS Enterprise, October 1942.

To install, unzip the download to a temporary location. Move/copy files to the matching folder names inside your chosen CFS 2 install. To keep the filesize manageable I've not included any texture bitmaps that remain unchanged - to add them to each texture folder just select your original texture folder contents & copy them to each one in this pack, make sure to select "NOT TO OVERWRITE" any files with matching names. This will add all the other texture bitmaps you need so you can use the texture folder structure as is.

Thanks to: Wolfi for developing an excellent multi-LOD Avenger.

This is freeware and subject to the usual conditions.

Great work as always Unc - but . . . er . . . the texture folders in the mid44 pack appear to be empty ?? (I now notice the download size is only c.4MB as opposed to the 6-12MB for the other packs so I'm guessing it's not a corrupted download.)

    Cheers

Good catch B&V - I'm at a loss to explain how it happened, but a fresh zip has been uploaded & it does contain the bitmaps now. I'm sorry for the 35 people that had already downloaded this pack before I fixed it.

... along with some more skinpacks for those later war ops ...
