    Ankor's Shaders Question

    Hello everyone. I am getting back into CFS3 after being absent for a while. The reason for my absence was the Win7 to Win10 transition. I now have my CFS3 installs transferred to Win10 and they are working. I do have DX9 installed and Gmax and the mos editor is working.

    When I paused from CFS3, Ankor’s Shaders were just starting so I never applied them to my Win7 installs. It looks like they have come a long way from the time when I paused CFS3 and I would like to try them on my Win10 installs.

    Is there more to it than putting the Ankor shader package into the CFS3 directory and following the readme instructions?

    If you add them using JSGME then you can easily extract them again if something goes wrong.

    I've never seen it before, but if I understand correctly 0x8007007E in shader compiler means that some DX9 dlls are missing.
    Try to install the full DX9 Runtime from here:

    The dds files for the sun image found in effects/weather and referenced in suneffect.xml are missing or are not in the proper format.

    I got Ankor's Shaders working on my ETO install. Can they be used in other installs? (ie BoB, PTO Solomons, PTO Rising Sun, MAW)

    The reason I ask is when I put them into my PTO Solomons install it did not work. I kept getting the CFS3 Config is out of date no matter what I did.

    Sometimes you have to run the config utility multiple times before it sticks for some reason. May try running the config as admin as well?
