    Saitek Joystick Cratered

My Saitek joystick, (probably 15 years old) cratered tonight.

Anyone ever deal with Sporty's Pilot Shop in Cincinnati, Ohio?

They have a Logitech Joystick for $39.95 that will meet my paltry needs.

I'm just a bit nervous about ordering online from someone I haven't dealt with before......

    Sporty's is a class A company.

Well, from the look of their website they certainly appear to be a reputable outfit.

Their Yelp reviews are nothing to write home about but that's no hard fast recommendation either way.

They claim to have the Joystick in stock and $40 is a pretty competitive price as far as I can see.

Logitech Extreme 3D Pro joysticks do not seem easily available anywhere else although I did see at least one available, used, on Ebay for $18. Best Buy and Walmart seem to be out of stock. Amazon has them available but all from badly reviewed sellers who have them way over-priced.

The Logitech Extreme 3D Prois a great joystick. I have owned mine for well over a decade and it is still going strong, I have always been very satisfied with it.

Maybe you should call Sporty's and try placing the order by phone so you can talk to a live body- sorta get a better feel for the place.

After responding to this post and discovering how hard Logitech Extreme 3D Pros are to replace, I am going to start taking extra good care of the one I have!

    Good luck!

The $40 price tag is also impressive and as Capt Kurt recommends them, I will trust them.

Took the Saitek apart and "worked on it" a bit.

It now once again works-kind of......

There are buttons which still are MIA, but it will throttle up and down, climb and turn.
