A new entry has been added to Add-Ons Library, category CFS 2 Aircraft - World War I

Description: The Friedrichshafen G.III, Factory Designator FF45 (Flugzeugbau Friedrichshafen), was similar to the contemporary Gotha G.IV in size, shape, weight, payload, performance and power. However, it was more manoeuverable and not tail heavy, hence much easier to fly, and also boasted an elevator trimming system that made it easier to balance. Although it accompanied the Gotha bombers on long range strategic bombing missions a few times, it was usually employed on short to medium range tactical bombing missions.

The original model was built for FS98 with Abacus Aircraft Factory 99 and animated with Abacus Aircraft Animator. The original FS98 blue/grey splinter lozenge textures are by Udo Entenmann.

The converted model has been upgraded to multi level of detail with a virtual cockpit, new high-resolution extended bitmap textures, new panel and custom instruments by Martin Klein.

DP files written by Michael Lang (Ravenna).

    Bombsight by Stephan Scholz

    Sound by Combat Aces.
