Very nice ! Thank you !!!
The more you do, the less you dream
Beautiful works of art, as always, Duckie! These particular A-7 paints are especially meaningful to me, as they represent 5 specific Corsair IIs that I worked on, as a young AME at Patuxent River NATC. My first 8-9 months at Pax River was spent becoming a A-7 Plane Captain, and then they transferred me to the "Seat shop". No more Plane Captain duties from that point. Instead, I pulled ejection seats, and worked on air-conditioning/pressurization systems. Oh, and I filled LOX bottles, daily!
Really Duckie, thank you Pete
P.S. My first experience on a carrier flight deck was on the (USS Kitty Hawk, CV-63), 1973, as a fledgling A-7 PC. I was scared ****less. Bunos 156736, and 152658 were on that Det, out of North Island. A PC from VA-192 kept me from becoming a statistic that week!
The attached list is for a ACLS for the USS Independence, CV-63, which took place one month prior to my reporting to Pax. But 156736 was on that Det, and it is a typical list of the aircraft that NATC would send.
Thanks for the repaints, Duckie.
I noticed that you've referred to modified cfg and FDE by Henk Scuitemaker. I was able to find v2 of the modified FDE, but not v3. Do you have any more information or links?
Thanks in advance.

You're most welcome. Thanks for for the comments. Pete, thanks. It's a hobby that is very enjoyable and satisfying. It becomes a little more than a hobby when you can associate it with real world players such as yourself (and others).

And, thanks to Duckie (and of course, Razbam) 5 NATC A-7s are back "home" at NATC Patuxent River, just as I remember them. The scenery is MAIW's Pax River, and screenshots are taken in P3DV4.5 because MAIW Matrix is not compatible with V5 yet. NC

Warhorse47, the paints should fit all series of models as you can see in NC's shots (Vol 1/2, Beta Tacpack E/D). The FDE mod would probably also work, although I never tested it on the 2-seaters.

Not necessarily; C of G would need stay relatively in same place due to aerodynamics , its usually beneficial to have C of G near to Centre of Pressure
Centre of pressure is , as its name suggests, the point in space across the chord of the wing where lift acts
2 seater Harriers for instance, used a large ballast weight in the tail to counteract weight of second cockpit.
Due to the distance of the weight in the tail from nominal C of G , compared with distance of cockpit from same C of G, the weight in the tail was nowhere near same as the actual weight of second cockpit, its equipment and occupant. Its all to do with moment arms.

Reading thru the above referenced thread I don't see where Henk ever produced a modified FDE for the K, TA, or L.

For you A-7 Aficionados, how many of you knew the A-7 was the first aircraft with a "HUD" as we know them today? Here's the article.
