Icon22 JHS_France_North airfield revised and uploaded!

    Good evening,

Here is the update for Achim's airfields...

This package has been updated on 31 May, 2020 to include six new airfields created for the upcoming Battle of France - Part II release: Caen-Carpiquet, Chateaudun, Damblain, Dinard, Le Mans, and Nantes.

This airfield package has also been modified to use one AFD file for France North which covers all fifty-one airbases, rather than using individual AFD files. This is specifically to counter the limitation of the sim, that can only process between 200 or so AFD files in one installation.

Abbeville, Athis, Audembert, Azeville, Azeville (Reserve), Beauvais, Biscarosse, Boissy-le-Bois, Bordeaux, Bourges, Brest, Brest Seaplane, Caen, Caen-Carpiquet, Calais, Cambrai-Forenville, Cambrai-Haynecourt, Charleville, Chateaudun, Cherbourg, Damblain, Denain, Dijon, Dinard, Etaples, Evreux, Gaye, Guines, Guise, Guyancourt, Juvincourt, La Rochelle, Laon, Le Bourget, Le Havre, Le Mans, Lille, Lille Satellite, Luneville, Lure, Mont de Marsan, Nancy, Nantes, Reims, Rennes, Rochefort, Rochefort Navale, St. Omer, Triqueville, Vannes, and Velizy-Villacoublay.

I created these fields with Sander de Cocq's Eurw area, EW textures, coastlines, feature park (the whole set) and on Rhumbaflappy’s mesh. If you put the fields on a different set of textures, my colors may look a bit odd. Make sure you have the latest updates installed.

This file package has been altered from the version in the Warbirds archive, and the readme has been updated.

    Hello,

Now that Kevin released his package, I was able to release Captain Kurt's airfield package that was being held back, because with this package, some of the GSL work overlaps with Achim's France North airfield package, and Kevin's airfield and scenery package.

All three packages contain only one or two AFD files which contain all of the airfields in them, and no longer have individual .bgl files. This helps to prevent the sim from being "overloaded" with too many airfields. Just make sure to delete any old versions of these airfields first.

    The install order should be...

    1) JHS_France_North
    2) CK_France_airfields
    3) KD_France_Belgium

    Guys,
Any chance it corrects the Normandy Beach terrain mesh to accurately reflect the cliffs?

    PS
I guess it isn't so much the terrain as it is the texture on the coast.
    Not enough sand and rocks.
