    cfs3config and ankors shaders

    hi so i am wanting to install these shaders and looking at the readme is see this note

    *** Warning ***
    You must turn off Dual Pass Render, and turn on High Resolution Z Buffer and Disable Shadows in cfs3confing.exe.


    however in the cfs3config.exe there are no options for altering any of these - all there is if i select either custom settings are options to change detail levels on objects, effects, terrain etc, and if instead select "change display options" it is just resolution and AA settings

    what am doing wrong here? is there a different cfs3config somewhere?

    well never mind - i started cfs3 and it seems to run fine and the shaders look very nice on the objects now

    hi agathosdaimon, you need to access the drop-down menu when you run cfs3config. Go into custom edit or something (not at my fingertips sorry). Uncheck the box dual pass render. check the box disable shadows and hi res z buffer.

    Also do all the good things for boosting memory for aircraft textures. Use the rendertarget options where available for textures.

    Important than when you leave you go through the Exit option in the drop down menu - NOT the 'x' at the top of the box.

    Also have you checked some of the guides for setting CFS3config? The Groundcrew guide is good but old so you can boost texture numbers http://www.mrjmaint.com/RegsHanger/G...20settings.php

    You can also directly text edit the ConfigOverrides.xml file itself.
