    I see your point, but kind of strange to not include the Eagles main missile for all of the Cold war period!
    This was the heyday of the Eagle force both in the USAF and other users as the IAF. The Aim-7 accounted for almost all of the F-15C Eagles kill during Desert Storm.
    Without checking the numbers, just by the high kill numbers with the Aim-7 from 1991, I think the Sparrow is still the weapon with most kills for the USAF F-15C fleet.

    For me this is about the realism and accuracy for a model, but I understand that others may feel otherwise and see no problem with mixing newer stores on a "older" time period scheme. I will most likely buy this model, so its not about that (the models looks stunning!), just seems very strange to not include what you could argue is the F-15Cs historical main weapon.

    At the risk of showing my ignorance, how does one get the landing / taxi lights to show. I see the switch is turned on but I don't see the light showing. I checked the light section of the aircraft.cfg and don't see a landing light there. I know some are modeled with the aircraft. Help would be much appreciated. Thanks! Edit, I looked very closely again and see a tiny dot in the center of the landing light. Is there a way to make it more visible?

    Nice Job Dean. Was trying to resist because I don't use FSX much these days but... just couldn't manage it.

    It's Prepar3D that's to blame Tom, the stock landing light is truly awful. Only way to improve things is to use third-party lights. The landing light has to be modeled in because it moves with the oleo leg assembly, but the effect can still be replaced with another, brighter version if you can find one.

    Beautiful shots MDIvey!

    Thanks for the answer, I have seen this in P3D before when you mention the stock landing light. I am working with a shockwave landing light. Once completed I will post the coordinates here. This is what I came up with - light.xx=5, 10.800000, 0.000000, -3.650000, fx.xxxxxxxxxxxo. I used Shockwave 3D lighting which will require you to have the program from A2A which includes a gauge. For me this is the best option because you can have the landing light turn off when the wheels go up.

    You need the avionics switch on, in order to be able to see the knee-pad and click on it.

    I tried but didn't no change
    Do I need to see the check mark in the box?

    On my install, in order for the avionics to be turned on you also have to turn on the battery. And there are no check marks.

    In a cold and dark state, I turn on both the avionics and battery before activating the panel. Remember to open the canopy to see all the external elements. This is also where I select the external weapons before startup.

    After a flight I shut down the engines using the fuel switches, then opening the panel for the external elements before turning off the rest.

    Glad you got it sorted Zsolt!

    I think that it is a bit clunky though - I did improve the coding during the test phase but I'll have a think about how to make it a bit easier to use, while still ensuring you can't turn any of them on while flying about though!

    Posted in the P3D and I also figured out the ground services just missing the checkmarks on the kneeboard. Any others having fuel issues, the conformals alone on the Strike Eagle hold 750 USG each. I seem to only get internal fuel.

    Hi, sorry I missed your other post!

    External fuel has to be added via the normal sim fuel/payload manager. To have "dynamic" fuel loading with fuel tank visibility requires SimConnect and .dll files, all things I'd like to avoid due to the difficulty with upgrades over time. I am working on XML visibility code that will auto-add the tanks when fuel is selected using the payload manager though.

    Nice to have a clean bare bones Eagle. I like the ability to fly a single seater for shows and a two seater for rides! Nicely done! (IDK if it would be accurate or not, but I hope some skins come out with full color markings and such from the real early Eagles!) I like the wing vapor flash and mach cone effects. This is another level up from the P-61. (Which wasn't bad itself!)

    Possible change the taxi speed?
    When I release the brakes, it starts rolling fast

    Adjusted the fuel numbers for mains and drop tanks on both models, with the conformals and 2 drops the -15E can stay airborne forever.

    Yeah, I did that a few days ago and I also adjusted the fuel flow scalar for the proper range. It was close, I was just nit picking. I also added the center drop. Here's what I ended up using, although I may still refine it after I go through my manuals. If anyone wants to use it feel free, if you have better, share it! I'm having a blast with this plane.

    For the F-15C, Center1 being the center DT;

    [fuel]
    LeftMain= 3.000, -5.000, 0.000, 1000.000, 10.000 //Longitudinal (feet), Lateral (feet), Vertical (feet), Usable(gallons), Unusable (gallons)
    RightMain= 3.000, 5.000, 0.000, 1000.000, 10.000
    External1= 3.000, -10.000, 0.000, 600.000, 10.000
    External2= 3.000, 10.000, 0.000, 600.000, 10.000
    Center1= 3.000, 0.000, 0.000, 600.000, 10.000

    For the F-15E I, Left Aux and Right Aux being the CFTs and Center1 being the center DT;

    [fuel]
    LeftMain= 3.000, -5.000, 0.000, 1000.000, 10.000 //Longitudinal (feet), Lateral (feet), Vertical (feet), Usable(gallons), Unusable (gallons)
    RightMain= 3.000, 5.000, 0.000, 1000.000, 10.000
    LeftAux= 3.000, -3.000, 0.000, 750.000, 10.000
    RightAux= 3.000, 3.000, 0.000, 750.000, 10.000
    External1= 3.000, -10.000, 0.000, 600.000, 10.000
    External2= 3.000, 10.000, 0.000, 600.000, 10.000
    Center1= 3.000, 0.000, 0.000, 600.000, 10.000

    For Both, I changed the fuel flow scalar here;

    [GeneralEngineData]
    engine_type=1
    Engine.0=-15.000, -5.000, -0.100 //(feet) longitudinal, lateral, vertical distance from reference datum
    Engine.1=-15.000, 5.000, -0.100 //(feet) longitudinal, lateral, vertical distance from reference datum
    fuel_flow_scalar=.87 //1.00
    min_throttle_limit=-0.10000

    Repaint request for FSX F-15c/s JASDF 306 Komatsu AB

    Hi everyone

    is out there a repainter who possibly likes to create a DCD F-15c/j repaint of a japanese F-15?

    Source/see also: https://aviationphotodigest.com/japa...atsu-air-base/

    I would prefer a standard c/j-repaint of the 303´ or 306´birds based on Komatsu AB.
    IT would perfectly fit to the scenery zsoltquack pointed to:

    See http://www.sim-outhouse.com/sohforum...ASDF-F-15-base

    Rem DC Design: Sales for your fine bird could possibly be increased on the japanese addon market segment -if appropriate repaints would be available?

    Greetings RS

    There are so many amazing JASDF schemes that are simply amazing. From their aggressor paint schemes, usually on F-15Ds, to their anniversary schemes, to their fighter meet colors. What I like is that they many times for those Fighter meets and sometimes anniversary schemes, you get one in color and one in low viz. I keep thinking of a fighting bears scheme like that from around 2014, where it has the lightning bolt on the front fuselage and the large bear squadron logo on the tail.
