....that can be used on different carriers. That would be something! I'm aware of the option there is to use the three runway attachpoints, but that is not ideal as the lights of that option extend beyond the deck and the FLOLS is never in the correct place. Woud it be possible? And how difficult is it?

I believe you can use the RFN Gauge for this, in the same way the Flying Stations HMS Ark Royal originally used the default FLOLS, but their later HMS Victorious '58, '64 & '66 relied on the RFN Gauge instead.
