Question Could someone please check Stuart Green's website?

    Good morning,

Not to start things off on a sour note, but I think Stuart Green's site went the way of the dodo, so I may have to create another legacy section. We use the Betty quite a bit, among others.

Could someone check for me, and if it is down, so people have the original downloads?

    Thanks,
    "Rami"

When I check this link: http://www.domicilium.com/peveril/hangar/hangar.htm

I receive the following message: "The resource you are looking for has been removed, had its name changed, or is temporarily unavailable."

So I can confirm the site is currently not available. The service provider "domicilium.com" is still available.

I'm sure I have all his FS2004 WWI aircraft, and I might have some of his cfs2 models somewhere on back-up disks,

    Cheers,
    Huub

    Robin,

Stuart Green's last model was already released 13 years ago, so you can't say he was still very active. But he left us some very nice models.

    Cheers,
    Huub

Stuart gave his own face to the pilot............

    Hi Rami/all,

it does look like his web site is gone. I tried the wayback machine but couldn't find anything useful - maybe someone else can check, I'm not sure I was using it correctly.

I believe I will have all of Stuart Green's CFS2 aircraft in my archive, certainly I have a lot installed. So if you're going to create a legacy section I may be able to contribute.

    Cheers,

    SW

    Just did......

...a quick search over at Simviation and it appears a lot of his aircraft are posted there. FYI

    Good morning,

If you have the original packages for CFS2, you may begin uploading them. I have created a new legacy section for Stuart Green's aircraft and related files for CFS2.

    Thanks,

I have uploaded the three I have for CFS2: SG_AR196, Halifax B MkIII, and G4M1 Betty.

I also have his FSX Spad if we are going to place FSX aircraft in the library.

None of them had a thumbnail photo, so I improvised. The Betty is the OEM Betty from CFS2\INFO folder.
The Halifax and Arado are web based. I figured black and white would be okay since I did not have a color version to match his.
(I suppose I can install them and then in flight grab a photo).

Here is Stuart's actual Betty in flight at Lae.

    Lee,

You can call me Betty if I can call you Al. We just need Paul and Chevy.

I dropped Stuart Green a line, asking him about his website and letting him know what we are doing here. This is his reply:

Hi Kevin, unfortunately my ISP who provided the web space decided to do away with this facility so it has gone. I still have the models somewhere though should you need any. Been a long long time since I did this stuff though, good luck with the converting. J

    Hi Andrew,

Where would you like the FS2004 uploads to go?

    Kevin,

In their normal locations. CFS2 uploads should be cataloged differently because of our sim needs to locate things. I don't see that as an issue in FS9. Thanks for asking!

    Hi all,

Fibber is right, a lot of the files are at simviation and some at flightsim.com.

I do however, have a Stuart Green Nieuport 11 in my CFS2 WWI install that I can't see on any of these web sites. My dilemma is that I've lost the original install files.

So do I zip up the files that I do have and upload those, knowing that they are not as they were originally packaged (for example, I probably changed the name in the aircraft.cfg title= line)? What are the ethics of this? .... my wife does accuse me of overthinking stuff a lot!

    Cheers,

    SW

    The Nieuport is uploaded.

Andrew, would you mind putting it in Stuart's name?

I've got pictures of most of Stuart's WW1 aircraft, so I can get them uploaded in the next few days.
