Most of the RAZBAM stuff works fairly well, I'd forgotten I had this on my backup drive.

I was missing my warbirds so jumped back in v5 and took out the Dauntless. Cruised around Guadalcanal to check out Emerald Scenery Design's Solomon chain.

One more for the Squids-glazing issues aside this works fairly well, but it does tend to show it's age.

You can get round the blue canopy by converting the glass texture to PBR. Having converted a few FSX/P3D natural metal models to use PBR, this is the only consistently useful thing about it (in P3D at least)...!

One of those things I'll eventually get around to Dave.
Not a favourite aircraft but worth tweaking at some point, interesting how many RAZBAM subjects work in P3D.

The excellent Sim Skunk Works Streak for P3Dv5 is very good value for money (only 10 euros). I am very happy with the keyless installer, no more re-activation headaches. Markings: Royal Dutch Air Force 315 Sqn ca. 1969.
I disabled HDR, Enhanced Atmospherics and dynamic reflections, I prefer the standard clouds and colors...

    The "Pregnant Guppy"! NC

Wasn't a pilot, but I do know what it is like to fly in them (backseater). Those birds were built like tanks! On one ride, the pilot was doing spin tests. NC

The supplied VC caused CTDs in 64bit, so I know its wrong, but ive merged the PMDG 747 VC and now have a working FMS for flights and 4 engine heavy airlift

Assuming that is the Area 51 model, I have no problems with it in P3Dv5. The content error check throws a bunch of issues but nothing critical. I only fixed the panel.cfg errors by blocking out the redundant file=$vc*.bmp lines in all [Vcockpit0*] sections.

to be honest you are prob right, it was a long time ago i did the mod to it, I wasnt a fan of the low quality and gps style nav system, I like doing the flight plan with a FMS

    Looking Good

A great collection of screenshots for the new P3D by all of you - impressive. Great to see some of the pre-P3D scenery bolts in and works well as well not to mention the various FSX aircraft that have gone across nicely as well. Lots of tips and info.

Thanks GAAB - Lovely screenshot. I must say it looks very good in P3D much better than it ever did in FSX. Scenery is great as well. Few more weeks and new PC arrives and then I step up to the world of P3D.

    What ever happened to Jens?
The 'Empire Boats' crossed over very well: I must see if his 'Singapore' made the jump.

Wombat666 - "What ever happened to Jens?- The 'Empire Boats' crossed over very well: I must see if his 'Singapore' made the jump." - Great Screenshots!

One of the great mysteries of the sim world alas bit like the Piglet. I tried without success to contact him for approval to release but in the end figured Jens would have approved anyway so released updates in the spirit he made them - free! A brilliant modeller with an eye for the weird and wonderful and then not so popular but still amazing aircraft of the past. Jens output on the world of the flying boat is unsurpassed matched only by George Diemer and the Sikorskies. I updated the Singapore as well same as the Shorts all here in the Library very pleased that they go into P3D without a fuss - there is still a heap of work to be done to the textures inside and out to give them depth and tone - but I can vouch for the flight dynamics and improved engine sounds (real Pegasus recordings).

New PC and new sim on the way - now I am excited!!

Noddy great shots of the Vulcan you can really see the diffence now between P3D and FSX in all of the shots in this thread and of course individual settings and visuals tweaking! There is now a depth or solidity that was always missing in FSX. OFT - flew with an ex Vulcan driver years ago - serious RC modeller but never interested in sims - all round weirdo sometimes- loved flying the beast but mainly concerned about the quality of meals and overnight locations!!

Oh and I forgot to mention that the nice fat nosecone area was apparently very useful for transporting contraband booze etc from overseas jaunts so that it would not declared to customs etc and retrieved later by the tech guys!

Keeping things moving: Alabeo Cessna C170 over ORBX Nantucket Island. Polished Alloy done just the way I like it.

    Hi,

V2 is in progress...more accurate( almost consistent with the real model) and PBR, easy landing mode versus realistic (lol) ...

That would be the bomb-bay pannier. Very useful for carrying pianos from Germany, sides of bacon from Malta and kokkinelli from Cyprus.
