    KM Ju88A-4 skinpack UncleTgt!

A new entry has been added to Add-Ons Library, category CFS 2 Skins - German

Description: Junkers Ju88A-4 Skinpack by UncleTgt

This is a collection of repaints for the Junkers Ju88A-4 made by K Malinowskis for CFS 2.

Included is a modified dp file (gun data changed for AI performance, Kelti exhaust effects etc.). The AI MG81s will behave as scare guns, lots of tracer, opening up at a longer range, but inaccurate. Just don't stay behind them for too long, those 7.92mm rounds will still hurt when they hit you!

I've also added resized 2D panel bitmaps for those of you using WIN7 & later operating systems, using the common 1024 x 768 size panel bitmaps tends to give you issues with these more modern operating systems - go figure!

    The textures are: K5 + DC Depicting a Ju88A-4 from I/KG3, Russia, August 1942.

    9K + LR Depicting a Ju88A-1 from II/KG51, France, May 1940.

    4D + KL Depicting a Ju88A-1 from I/KG30, France, May 1940.

    L1 + EH Depicting a Ju88A-4 from I/LG1, Libya, August 1942.

    M7 + DK Depicting a Ju88A-1 from KGr806, France, October 1940.

To install, unzip the download to a temporary location & move/ copy files to the matching folder names inside your chosen CFS 2 install.

Thanks to: K Malinowski for the original a/c.

Kelticheart for his prop bitmaps & exhaust effects.

This is freeware and subject to the usual conditions.

    UncleTgt,

Many thank yous for uploading this. Does the skin for the KG 51 Ju-88 come in the dive-bomber combination used in the Battle of France - Part I?

    I have a question though.

Why does the L1 + EH show a yellow stripe on the rear fuselage? I thought yellow stripe was for Eastern Front aircraft whereas Southern Front aircraft were supposed to wear a white stripe. Is there a story behind this?

    Hi Roxanne-21

This skin is based on a black & white photo of a wrecked aircraft in the desert. In this photo the fuselage stripe is almost as dark as the sand camo, definitely not white like the letter "E" or the outside of the fuselage cross, so I surmised it must be yellow. The rest is guesswork.
