Did you improve the VC textures as well?

Who wants to sit inside the VC, when they look so beautiful on the outside?

    Cheers,

Well the VC is somewhat basic and adapted photo/texture would not fit in the cockpit as it's shape differs a lot compared to the real one. Will see what I can do when I finish the scheduled liveries.

I shall upload all the previous liveries within days from now

    Cheers

Very nice. I am really looking forward to these new repaints.

Can I make a small request?
Could you please upload these textures in 32bit format instead of DXT3 or DXT1.
It would be a pity to loose the small details due to the texture compression

    It's gonna be indeed 32bit format !!
    Since I discovered 32 bit with the SU-25, I didn't go back to DXT3 !!

Thanks you Huub & jamminjames ! Much encouraging words
David Brice did a fine job with this Fulcrum, the model is flawless and mapping is almost perfect (no distortions or tricky parts) which makes it really easy to work with textures. (Plus the original paintkit was provided with the exact "meshed" layer, saving hours - literally - of work to dig the exact shape of the textured parts)

I slightly tweaked the mdl to obtain a better reflection of the canopy and overall airframe.

Exploring weathering at the time, many "try & see".
    Will post WIP tonight

    Cheers

Very nice weathering! You make it realistic, lots of painters put too much dirt and dirt/stains in the wrong area

TARPSbird, a painter here did a similar scheme years ago (Jason32) but never released them for some reasons. I was quite in need of one, so I finally decided myself
But yes these low-vis scheme along with commemorative paints are gorgeous, highly motivating for a painter !

Anels, I already have a long working list, will depend on my timeline for N29UB (plus there are no two seater Fulcrums for fs9..)

I did many Kirk Olsson F-16 textures and found out it was being reproduced and using my hard work and not a single mention of myself or worse any permissions from me.

This is the reason i never released my MiG-29s in the end im affraid.

Your MiG repaints look really lovely, did you produce your own paint kit (like myself) or the IRIS one?

I agree that the VC is basic (even for standards at the time). Strange that such an exquisite external model would have such a basic VC.

    Hello Jason,

Glad seeing you're still around !
Good fact is, fs2004 is getting old and neglected by people like those taking credit from your work. I only share my paints here at SOH so to avoid these troubles !
I did pick up only the meshed layers from IRIS paintkit then start mine from scratch, quite long. Mine is not really a paintkit, more something like "highly unorganised multiple layers with no name

    Cheers

    Hi L'iguane

Well they look good your work.

I enjoyed the fulfillment of my own paint kit when it was completed..but I'd have to say adding thousands of rivets wasn't my highlight lol

Is this a real scheme or fictional? Must be a rich TV-channel when it can afford to fly and maintain a Fulcrum.

    Cheers,

Give or take a Russian oligarch or two, and a lot of things can happen in that country!

Sorry if this is too political.

    Huub, Priller,

Yes this is a real scheme, the aircraft belongs to MiG RSK mother company (probably used as test bed)
This scheme got painted this way for a TV show with Kanal One Russian TV channel covering MiG company.

This was so unusual I felt obligated to paint it !

    Ain't no oligarch here, it's a Mig's mig

    Cheers

PS: two ships received this scheme, a singe 9-12 model & a dual seater UB
