    PTO Crashing With Dec 2019 Shaders

    Nothing in particular is happening (just flying over the jungle) and then I crash out to desktop.
    Nothing with PTO has changed that I can think of, and my all my other installs seem to be working fine still.
    Here's the shader log. It looks like a memory issue perhaps? I have 16 GB of RAM and 8 Gb of vRAM and have UseD3D9Ex=1 set in D3D8.ini.

    It is difficult to tell (it is often so )

    3-4000 draw calls is a lot, but shouldn't be an issue.

    The address of the original error is inside a CFS3 function that updates terrain or autogen scenery. I'm not even sure what it does, because although I did some research in those parts of the code my shaders don't really change anything there.

    UseD3D9Ex=1 allows to use more memory for textures, but may cause odd errors in some cases, although they tend to be visible immediately, and here it seems to work for you.

    Maybe cfs3 had run out of memory on its own, or maybe it is just a bad luck.
