New Ships released by Stuart!

A new entry has been added to Add-Ons Library, category CFS 2 Ships Add-Ons

Description: GMax USN Gridley Class DD V1.0 for CFS2

There are three ships in this download:

USN_Gridley_1941_LOD, as built.

USN_Gridley_1942_LOD, with 6 x 20mm AA guns replacing the 50cal MG. Painted in measure 21.

USN_Gridley_1944_LOD, with 7 x 20mm AA guns and 2 x 2 40mm AA guns.

Note that each ships has it's own specific texture file, although the textures have the same name (USN_DD)

GMax models are included.

USN_Benson_1944_LOD, with 7 x 20mm AA guns, 2 x 2 40mm AA guns, 2 x 1 40mm AA guns and 1 set of quintuple Torpedo Tubes. Painted in measure 32/3D Dazzle camouflage.

Thanks again, Stuart277. A question... I notice in your description of the ships armament you make mention of torpedo tubes but no mention of the 5" X 38 guns. Do they fire too?

I do most of my GMax work in the afternoons with the windows open and the sea breeze blowing.
We haven't had the smoke problems that a lot of other places, including other area's of Sydney, have had.
It doesn't take too much time as most of the ships are very similar and somewhat 'templated'.

FWIW Stuart did the Kuma also in two versions. I realize that there were variation between the ships as to mods but if you use the link I previously posted about the Wilki look-up it might help.

The first version is not in the Library. I looked up and found Stuart's post on the first one. When I clicked on it. the message said it did not exit. The first version with all 9 ships is not in the library. What happened to it? Could someone send me a copy?

Hi all
I think version 1.0 with all 9 ships may have been deleted when version 1.1 was posted.
Version 1.1 only has two ships, which were re-textured.
I do not have the original version on my PC, but I will check may back-up HDD later today.
Hopefully it is there.

There is one ship in this download: USN_Cherokee_Class_ATF.

This GMax model represents the US Navy Cherokee Class Fleet Tugs around 1941.

The GMax LOD Model is included.

Models have new DP's.
