I know two airbases which are quite nicely detailed:
    - ZaraX, which covers the Solenzara airbase in Corsica: http://www.virtualcorsair.fr/aeroports/zara%202015.htm (many screenshots)
    - Amberieux: http://www.rasasso.org/telechargemen...s/amberieu.htm

Solenzara is a standard military base, with many hangars and a few other small details. Only one runway, quite long so good for jets and heavies. I'd recommend you to get a photorealistic scenery for the whole island if you can
Amberieux is a very small airfield located next to the French Alps, not far away from the Mont Blanc and Swtzerland border. It has a military section and a small public section for VFR and skydive activities. It has a reasonably long runway although landing the Milviz Phantim (ADV) has been more challenging than I expected... It also has a glider grass runway and what seems like the remains of an old WWII grass runway. Two parkings are hiddent behing the main buildings/hangars, with a lot of details (a soldier, some tools and crates around etc... feels less flat/empty).
Both these airports integrate perfectly on top of photorealistic sceneries, if you have any.

Avsimrus.com is a great resource for a lot of former Eastern Bloc and Russian scenery as well, including military airfields. Use Chrome with translator for easier reading, as the site is in Cyrillic.

There is one in particular, mentioned in SOH posts that had (I think) grass-covered sides of the half-round hangars. Or, at least the hangars themselves are dark green. And the back end of the hangars had extensions for aircraft exhaust. Does this ring a bell with anyone? NC
