Finally, after more than 3 years, and in spite of retirement of yours truly, our Bristol is ready and being prepared for the webshop. Stay tuned (for FSX, FSX:SE and P3D)

    Merry Christmas everybody !

    Nice surprise. Awesome!

If it's anything like their Lockheed Hudson/Lodestar bundle, it will be great.

Come on Francois - give us a break .....

Just when I had promised myself that I didn't need to buy another payware aircraft

Excellent look forward to this one. The Bristol did sterling service in OZ and NZ for years particularly on the Tasmania Victoria freight runs.

Ahhh....the venerable Skagway to Bronson Creek run. You knew when this machine was coming up the river, nothing else sound like it.

Skagway....huh....never post when you've got a room full of people talking around you.

    Wrangell to Bronson.

Anyway....Big Bristol is just the sort of aircraft that can fit FS in the most interesting way. Short & medium flights into difficult terrain and/or conditions with max-capacity loads. Very much hands on flying, all eyes, ears and muscle, and at least in BC & Alaska.....operating the machine at/or beyond it's design limits.

Coupled with the great rendering in your screenshots, the Bristol should offer a most evocative flight-sim experience.

Rarely do I jump on a new aircraft on Day One, but I couldn't resist the BRFT. Decided to grab a couple of others at the same time, so I guess I have some installing and testing to look forward to over the holiday season.

    Thanks Francois & Simon!

The RAF owned at least one Bristol Freighter that operated in conjunction with the Royal Radar Establishment at Malvern, from RAF Defford. It was used for testing AI radars in the early 1950's and taken out of service around 1955. It sat by the perimeter fence at Defford for a while sans engines and I remember as a boy, climbing the fence and sitting in the cockpit. I also remember the car ferry service operating out of Herne Airport (now Bournemouth).

    Fond childhood memories...!

    Happy Christmas Everybody!

It would be great to see a screenshot of the vc if anyone can post one please? I'd love to have this aircraft but I'm not purchasing it without knowing what the vc is like!
