    Arado Ar234A V7 finally finished

    Hi Folks,
Finally finished (hopefully!!) the Ar234A V7, it's currently with the testers, and anything that throws up.

Really pleased with it, a labour of love, very different to model and get round the animations but keeping the look/feel of the ac.

It's a bit of a beast to learn to fly (the take offs and landings really), in the air it flies very well....so you'll have to get your flying caps on and practice, AND read the README..

    Cheers

    Thanks Shessi,

Definitely a nice addition. And I promise I will read the manual before I try to fly it

Thanks! (Wonders if the Jumo engines self destruct after 25 hours...)

Thanks Shessi . Another rare species added to my immense collection.

As proof that I did read your read-me, a small question...... Were all Jumo jet engines (like those from the Me262) started with a Riedel 2 stroke-engine?

EDIT: I found it, the answer is yes.

    Cheers,
    Huub

    Hi Huub,

Glad you like it, I know it's not really your 'cup of tea', but the Ar234 is a beautiful ac.

Re-Jumo 004 engines, yes that was the only way to get the engines up to starting speed is by using the Riedel starter engine.

The thing is that the Riedel donkey/starter engine could be started by three methods, internally by the pilot on an internal battery via an electric starter motor to start the Riedel engine, or by external ground crew either starting the electrical motor to start the Riedel via an external trolley battery or pulling the cable-start ring that starts the Riedel motor etc etc.

    Pete,
    You'll be lucky!..just watch those revs..ha ha.

    Cheers
