    JJ retires

Jimmy Johnson will retire after next season. He’s had a great run but has remained uncompetitive. Chevy’s were not the best cars the last few years and his split with his old crew chief didn’t help either. He still has seven championships and lots of wins. It’s nice to know that a driver knows when to quit.

    Jimmy, it’s been a slice!

Jimmie really should have quit at the end of the 2018 season when his long time sponsor, Lowes Home Improvement, decided to exit. Jeff Gordon really knew when to quit, when you are still a top 10 championship contender. There is a lot of talent much younger than Jimmie on the track these days. These young guns do not have 20 years of experience driving in the Cup Series, but they are fearless and aggressive, something that tends to diminish with age.

Unofficially in certain military circles, this is referred to as being “young, dumb, and full of c*m.”

LOL!!!! I've heard that the most dangerous thing in the infantry is a freshly minted second lieutenant armed with a map and a compass.

Darrell Waltrip had a saying about new drivers who were really aggressive, fearless, and pulled off some amazing on-track stunts, "you don't know what you don't know."
