    What's the issue?

    Just add:

    [Window Titles]
    Window00=GPS

    [VIEWS]
    VIEW_UP_DIR=-20.4, 0.0, -45.0
    VIEW_FORWARD_DIR=0.0, 0.0, 0.0

    //----------------------------------------
    [Window00]
    Background_color= 0,0,0
    size_mm = 456,378
    position= 2
    visible = 0
    window_size= 0.30
    no_luminous= 1
    ident= GPS_PANEL

    gauge00=fs9gps!gps_500, 0, 0, 456, 378

    Works for me.

    Sorry folks, missed some of the comments. Anybody can add whatever pop-up screens they like as dhazelgrove suggests. Zsolt - just use Model Converter X to play around with specular levels or the paint kit to adjust colours. In my opinion they're fine as they are, but for personal preference you're free to make whichever changes you wish.

    Hello,

    Unfortunately, I don't understand that Model Converter X tool

    Hi folks, resurrecting an old thread here to let FSX users know that updates to the FA-18 Super Hornets are underway for both FSX and P3D. Bug fixes are being taken care of and some additions made, including wheel chocks, covers and RBF tags. New afterburners are now installed, turkey feathers fixed and various other small improvements. However, there won't be any new weapons as I'm saving those improvements for the MSFS version now. ( Prepar3D v4.4+ will also get PBR external textures ).

    On the subject of MSFS, should you wish to upgrade when the Hornets become available for the new simulator later this year, the plan is to charge just a small amount for the upgrade ( less than $10 ), so you won't have the buy the whole package again. Like most developers, I'm planning full native upgrades, not just ports, so it'll take me a while to get the new builds done. Same applies to the F-15 Eagles package.

    Hi Paul, so sorry for not replying to your post, I must have missed it. This is a problem with FSX - the lights work fine in Prepar3D. I've spent many hours on and off over the past few months trying to get them to work in FSX. Oddly, if I put landing light effects in there instead, they show up fine, but no other effect works such as wing lights / landing lights etc. I know others have found a way around this issue but I can't seem to solve it, and with the lights working in P3D I know it's not something I'm doing wrong in particular, but yet another FSX "quirk" that I haven't figured out. If I ever do, I'll update the lights accordingly.

    As a work-around, it is possible to add static nav lights via the aircraft.cfg file. They won't follow the wings when they fold, but if you only turn them on when the wings are unfolded ( standard practice aboard the carrier ) then things will look fine. I will add these lights into the .cfg with the next update for the FSX version.

    PBR porn for the P3D version, because it's Friday and it would be rude not to. FSX version image also included so I don't get told off
