joystick with rudder pedals calibration

Hallo friends,
since some month I experiance some problems with my joystick,
at every new flight I must recalibrate my devices.
I use FS2004 on Windows XP
The stick is a CYBORG 2000 from Saitek coupled to Thrustmaster rudder pedals
they are coupled together with an usb connection device wich one is plugged to the pc via usb port.
When the problems began I had my airplanes (all types, also jets) running to the right.
That happend just some times.
Now since some monthe it is at every flight I must recalibrate my devices.
And even after calibration it is not 100% neutral.
Now my question to the experts:
1) to what can this be due?
2)What can I do to get my devices neutral?
I must say that sadly I can not afford to buy new stick and rudder pedals

Papi,

My yoke and pedals like to stay plugged into the same USB port.
If I move them to a different port, assignments are lost or they will not work correctly.
So, first thing is set them up on their own ports and leave them there.

Secondly, sensitivities may be set too high if the devices are old or are electronically "noisy".

Thirdly, you can set the "Null Zone" wider to allow for some electronic noise so it does not bother the neutral area.

Forth, maybe you have set the sim realism to "Hard" and that will cause more realistic torque or yaw effect.

Just some ideas that may help.

my joystick is always on the same port, but should I perhaps change the port and before reconnect my device clean the plugs?
what could be the electric noise, and how to eliminate them?
I exclude the yaw and torque effects as it happens on jets and also sail planes, cars and ships, so objectswhere those effects should be "null"
I will try by chinging the "null zone" as you adviced me

Papi,

Are you on XP SP3? There was a fix years ago (prior to SP3 I think) with a USB issue of dropping or losing devices not active.

Electronic noise is usually generated with dirty electro-mechanical devices like dirty/aging potentiometers or other mechanically moving parts that drive electrical responses.
The USB connectors are not likely the issue.

thanks you for your help friends,
in fact it was the rudder pedals which caused constant miss calibration.
The potenziometer of the rudderpedals had moved and so canstantly gave wrong informations.
I refixed it in right position and hope it would hold for a time.
As same as the pc my devices are a bit old. And with the time - - -
For the moment it is going well and flying is lot more pleasant LOL.
