It's definitely not German. But a search of the first term indicates it's part of the fire extinguisher system of the IAR 80/81. check out here: https://www.sas1946.com/main/index.php?topic=35751.24
The gauge looks great. I was unaware that Romania had active fighter A/C in WWII. The IAR 80/81 has nice lines but at a quick glance it could easily be mistaken for something else. Sort of a combination between an FW-190, Hawker Tempest, and an F4U-1 Corsair.
486_Col_Wolf,
That happened more than once, especially during the 15th Air Force's raids on Ploesti from Benghazi and later from the airfields around Foggia during the latter half of 1943 and into 1944. I have a book on the 31st Fighter Group (which also has a lot of good information on the 52nd Fighter Group, as well as a few others) that flew a lot of missions over Ploesti during their time in the Mediterranean, and there are many accounts of this.
It had been on my mind some time back to do a campaign based on the book, but when Captain Kurt did the 82nd Fighter Group a few years back, I kind of squelched that idea, because the missions and campaign progression followed the same basic track, and I didn't want to steal his thunder.
So I did the 20th Fighter Group with Lightnings in the ETO instead, as well as Operation Frantic.

Rami,
If I'm not mistaken, the bf-109 was mistaken for a P-51 on some occasions also. Doesn't surprise me. Bullets flying, all hell breaking loose, a quick glance at an A/C doing 250 MPH or better with a familiar silhouette, could be mistaken easily. Gets even scarier when you don't recognize it and it's going faster than you. I have a mission in my 486th Campaign titled "Long Road to Merseburg/ What the Hell Was That?" where you encounter unidentified propellerless A/C over Germany. for the first time.
AW IAR80 VER 2.0 is almost ready. Here is sneak preview of the 2D cockpit panel with the EXTINCTOR AUTOMAT gauge.
Does anyone know if you can move the location of that green cone (enemy indicator). It is blocked by the cockpit frames.
The aircraft has been uploaded.
I think MS has messed up the muzzle velocity in the DP file, the input unit should be ft/sec. If you want to input the gun muzzle velocity in m/sec, just divide 2753 and 2444 by 3.281.
